  • idiot.

  • Infact a week or 2 ago they allowed the press into the fukushima plant.

Putting your ridiculous concerns aside. This is the most effient and cleanest source of power that we are currently have. Aside from the rare occurence of a radiological disaster, nuclear power plants are verry effient and supplies power to millions of people across the US. And if it wern't for ignorant idiots like you. We could proceed with building safer plants!

    Rebuttle?

  • Jesus another fing stupid political message about nuclear power...

First of all, a nuclear reactor meltdown does NOT result in a nuclear blast. And yes it still does release enormous amounts of radioactivity but the ONLY complete nuclear meltdown EVER on this earth was chernobyl. The mistakes of stupid russian engineers should not account for all the other nuclear power plants on the earth. Any other Partial meltdowns were well contained. Three mile island and fukushima were both contained. I

  • a nuclear reactor has nowhere near the power to cause a blast like that, but the damage would be severe and would threaten lives.that blast looked like by my guess a 30 megaton.

  • There are some other sources like hydro, solar, coil ETC where from we can produce energy/electricity for our daily use, which are not that much uncontrollable so he is right ! all nuclear plants weather thy are producing power or any other experimental use like booms, should be shut down immediately please let humans live don't forget Chernobyl ! search this word on youtube ( Chernobyl ) and who thy are not agreed with this video will be agreed !

  • so...wheres the power coming from to power your computer/laptop/house ect ect, might not be nuclear...but saying that it could be...

  • Despite the word "nuclear" being in the name, nuclear power power plants are actually pretty safe. When we get fusion power plants going, though, we'll be rocking.

  • I remember the good old days when reality was higher resolution than virtual reality.

  • O cry me a river. I hate people like you always saying these horrible things can happen. Using fear to get what they want. You want to know who else used fear to get what they wanted? Hitler, how about Ceasar, and many Tyrants of the past. Your probably the same person that is trying to make cigarettes illegal and force everyone to eat healthy too. You make me sick. Why cant you just let people try to enjoy life and stop trying to controlling them? Life is a gift, so why waist it on what ifs?

  • holy crap... I should have watched this movie...

  • There are more than 400 nuclear plants in the world..

    It's like russian roulette...

Fukushima plants proved to be fragile..

We need to find a way to stop 2012 doomsday :(

  • i see so instead of keeping the economy up you wanna kill it thus slowly killing millions........ that brilliant ill be sure to thank you for saving me for o might not happen quick death and instead giving me know money for food water or shellter not that this whole get rid of nuclear plants crap will happen

  • Oy. Seeing as these were both hydrogen explosions and not "nuclear" explosions, perhaps we should ban all of your green nonsense.

  • Oy.

  • i for one, would like to live without nuclear power. And the funny thing is, MOST of the world doesnt have nuclear power plants. If a nuclear plant goes into meltdown (fukushima for example) it wont destroy the entire planet. maybe take a look at the chernobyl incident too. heres a news flash for people too, this kind of thing happens and dos NOT mean the end of the world.

  • Its not a nuclear explosion dumbass. Nuclear power FTW!

  • Nuclear power is one of the pureest power sorces today! Nuclear power plants in Japan are old(second generation), and don't have the appropriate security mesures. Something like this is almost immposible to happen with the new power plants.

Only thing that's a problem with nuclear power source is nuclear waste.

  • Excellent video. The ONLY reason we don't use clean renewable energy is that those power plants can't produce as much energy as a nuke or fossil fuel plants. More green energy plants mean more construction jobs plus more people to work in those plants, which is good for the economy. In the face of Fukushima, it's the only sane choice we have.

  • That would never happen. A nuclear power plant is not a nuclear bomb.

  • this is beyond lame.

  • hahahaha ur such a dumb fuck,

  • The guy that made this video should be standing on the roof of one of those buildings...fucking knob. Maybe he can use a hand crank generator to power his PC for all his stupid future Youtube posts.

  • Those weren't *nuclear* explosions. I'm no scientist but I don't think hydrogen explosions and nuclear explosions are the same.

  • @WoodrowShigeru

there not...... at all....... a hydrogen bomb is a "thermonuclear weapon", in which it uses no hydrogen, but rather U-235 for uranium, Pu-239 for plutonium, so theres no nuclear explosions, we all need to learn are facts before we talk crap people.

  • @mizicko702 and you need to learn to spell 'our'

  • Wow. Propagandist, much? Sheesh.

The only way to get a fire ball explosion like that is with a bomb. Power plants don't have that grade of material, nor in the right composition.

  • @thecaneater agree!

  • foolish

  • NUCLEAR ENERGY FOR FUSION IS THE FUTURE YOU LIKE IT OR NOT, IF YOU FIND A WAY TO MAKE THAT AMOUNT OF ENERGY WITH OTHER THINGS IN THE SAME SPACE I'LL GIVE YOU THE FRAKING NOBEL PRICE..

  • did u guys hear that scary sound? start from 0:07 i never heard that in real life, i thought that kind of sounds are made up by PC games

  • .. nuclear power is the cleanest source of energy outside of wind, solar, and wave. Try taking on fossil fuel burning plants before nuclear.

  • damn how over dramatic can you get even if all the reactor's went it's not gonna be like that do your research cause that's just as over dramatic as the movie 2012. if you would have made it with more fact and showed that you'd have a better video for you cause. good graphics though.

  • what movie was that explosion from? that looked awesome!!!

  • @ghoulshark

The name of the movie is Knowing, starring Nicolas Cage

  • @FarangLeo that movie was full of bullshit just like this video

  • nuclear power plants rarely malfunction, in this case, the malfunction was caused by a fucking earthquake you stupid fuck

  • Nice fear mongering. I thought only the right wing republicans did that?

  • Stop writing nonsense !!! Nuclear power is the power of the future ! If world economy starts funding the safety of nuclear power plants instead of funding useless "ecological" projects, it will do a major leap towards.

  • Talk to the French about how to use nuclear power with much greater safety. They have a really good system that works well and can't do a melt down.

  • I'm not exactly in favor of nuclear power, but this is pure fearmongering. A nuclear meltdown is nothing like the massive explosion shown. What a silly, unsophisticated way to present an argument.

  • am i the only one seeing a face in the smoke 0:09 ??? and a wierd figure of a woman's 0:12 ????

  • These two explosions aren't nuclear. Thought I should point this out. They are both H2 explosions.

  • @wclaeys..... ya ,the spark before the fire!

  • dude you watch too many hollywood movies..

  • How could you say that?

The whole world economy depends on nuclear power.

Do you understand what will happen if we stop the economy from working?

You only come with things why it is bad, but not with solutions.

Where will the power of a nuclear power plant come from instead?

Do you know how much power a nuclear plant generates?

That is not possible with wind or solar. And even if it is, you have to have millions of wind turbines for one nuke plant.

  • Are you aware of the fact that most the countries in this world DO NOT have nuclear power plants? And these are not necessarily 3rd world countries. Australia is a good example. It surprises me that you worry more about the amount of power for the mankind, rather than about the mankind itself. What good would the nuclear power do to the civilization if the civilization will be destroyed by this power?

  • @FarangLeo Yes I am aware of that fact. But, Japan is the 4th biggest economy of this world. And uses power equivalent to that. An example:

    Autralia has 21.874.900 inhabitants.

Japan has 127.560.000 inhabitants, and had much more factories.

The people and industry is already there, you can't just make people vanish, just so they won't use as much power. The people are there and need electricity. Why else do you think they put 50 reactors there?

You want to compensate 50 reactors by wind/solar?

  • Comment removed

  • @FarangLeo Now, Australia is a huge country, and compared with its size it has almost no inhabitants. I live in Denmark, and we're one of the biggest producers of sea and land windmills, and believe me, we have an army(!) of those compared to the countries size. But still, we rely on biological, flamable fuel because the windmills simply can't compete with power-plants. So what would you propose if it was not Denmark, but the United States we was talking about? Or to make it easier: New York?

  • @FarangLeo If nuclear power plants dissappear, the economy will fall to the ground. Do you have any idea of what can happen if worlwide economy goes through the shitter? It would lead to famine then war, wich would eventually lead to the destruction of human kind or maybe the whole fucking planet. Environmentalists just criticize but never give solutions. Why dont you do something productive instead of making stupid environmetal videos.Nuclear power is a necessity. We are addicted to technology.

  • @Zoefzoef24 sodium hydroxide we have and can make very inexpensive and silicate mix these with water and hydrogen been available for over 100 years but it would ultimately mean if we use hydrogen our energy would become free thus meaning you lose control over the people DO YOU GET IT YET

  • @Zoefzoef24 youtube.com/watch?v=kjpp2MQffnw

  • Do you have an alternative?

Coal = very bad for environment

Wind or solar by far doesn't give enough power.

    So, your suggestions are welcome.

  • It will never be enough, my friend, no matter how many nuke power plants we'll have. But the more we have, the greater the danger of annihilating the planet. Look, mankind will not survive collapse of the planet's ecosystem. Mankind will not survive high levels of radiation either.

  • Earth's population is growing with a horrific speed, and opening more nuclear power plants will not help anyway. As to the use of coal, it will not produce a global catastrophe. Major companies are not even interested in developing solar energy energy technologies b/c they will not give them sufficient immediate profits. Governments are lobbied by these corporations and support them. In a nut shell: Just outlaw nuclear power plants, like it was done with cocaine.

  • @FarangLeo do u think it is healthy to make batteries ? or solar panels the stuff used for that is way more dangerous If they'd invest more in nuclear energy and the safety of it+storage it would get safer .. and they are working on fusion of atoms the only waste = water but it will take more time / money to develop it more and better this video is useless you're just imaginating ....
  • Respond to this video...

Force major companies develop solar and wind power technologies. Yes, we will go back 50 years ago in terms of technological development, but it's better than just have civilization and earth annihilated w/n 50 years.

  • @FarangLeo You're fear mongering. ONLY in the event that every nuclear plant on the planet went China Syndrome simultaneously would there be anything to worry about.

  • @FarangLeo

I think you're taking this far too seriously. I mean, obviously it has to be taken with a degree of seriousness... But if Nuclear power plants were going to be THAT much of a danger to humanity, we wouldn't have built them in the first place. Accidents are INCREDIBLY rare, and even then, the risk of radioactive contamination is LOW. The ONLY major nuclear power plant incident EVER to occur is that of Chernobyl, and that was because of poor maintenance.

  • @FarangLeo

Oh, and the explosions shown in this video from the Japanese plants are NOT nuclear explosions. Stop over-exaggerating.

  • @FarangLeo Economically that is impossible. In large scales, it costs more money to build solar and wind power than the money saved from these types of technologies. We can't produce these types of power plants until we advance further in our technology.

  • @Zoefzoef24

well as you can see Nuclear isn't exactly better for our health than Coal is. Nuclear energy and Nukes in general have been a disaster for this world. we can easily power the entire United States with Geothermal, Wind, Solar, and Hydroelectric, as well as using wave energy. We are hardly making use of areas we can use wind energy. Wind Towers are massive and could be put off the coast to produce massive amounts of energy for cities.

  • @Zoefzoef24 Also here in Québec, we only have one Power Plant, which we are not using all that much, we're making our electricity with water.

  • @Zoefzoef24 actually nuclear power plants usea massive amount of coal in the running of the actual plant. Nuclear power is not an economical viable option or environmentally "clean"

  • @Zoefzoef24

While I agree that the video is pretty ridiculous to suggest that nuclear meltdown could bring the kind of destruction seen in the movie, I must vehemently disagree with your assessment that coal is "very bad for environment". While Obama (aka Barry Soetoro, the Indonesian citizen) has been blocking the building of new coal power plants, and even the ignition of plants already built, in the guise of combating the non-problem of anthropogenic global warming, China builds more in a

week than we have in the last 2 years of this joke of a presidents term of office. What most people do not know is that coal powered plants in the U.S. (unlike in China or Mexico where much of Texas had to get its power during the last massive blizzard that we are supposed to believe was cause by "global warming") are equipped with scrubbers that remove the arsenic, cadmium, lead, and other toxic components from the emissions and release nothing but water vapor and carbon dioxide,

  • @Zoefzoef24

    two of the three most essential molecules for life on this planet, the other being diatomic oxygen. Therefore the only assumption under which this ridiculous statement can be accepted is if one still believes the lie that one of the three essential molecules to life,Carbon dioxide, which plants need and use to make glucose and expel oxygen for all animal life to use, is somehow going to destroy the Earth (which is historically in a carbon starved state;

  • @Zoefzoef24 today there is about 400 ppm CO2 versus 6000 ppm CO2 over 100million years ago when dinosaurs and dense vegetation covered virtually the entire planet) despite the Climategate scandal that broke over a year ago exposing the overwhelming amount of evidence showing the global warming alarmist community to be frauds and anything but real scientists (why else would Al Gore continue to purchase million dollar beach-front properties which are supposed to be under water in 15 years).

  • @Zoefzoef24

Even if we do assume that global warming is being caused by man (and must also assume that we must be causing the warming of ALL planets in the solar system[it couldn't possibly be the sun could it? *scratches head*] along with the medieval warm period and the Muonder minimum or "little ice age" of the 17th and 18th cenuties), no amount of argument or justification can deny that the potential disasters posed by the nuclear industry, far outweigh, exceed, and will outlast

  • @Zoefzoef24

by millions of years any damage that can be conceived by the so called "global warming problem". The lie of "man-made global warming" or "climate change" or "seasonal fluctuation", whatever they are calling it these days to keep people terrified of carbon dioxide, is merely a tool contrived and implemented by the globalists to destroy the middle class of the west and bring their Orwellian Eco-fascist New World Order prison planet out of the dust and chaos of the destruction that

  • @Zoefzoef24 they engineered and funded. Gee, maybe using Hydrogen, the most abundant element in the universe which is highly combustible and does not emit carbon, would be a decent alternative. But then thats not a system that would line the pockets of politicians or the elitists so I don't expect to see it realized anytime soon.

  • @Zoefzoef24

I leave you with this passage from "The First Global Revolution" (1991) published by the Club of Rome, a globalist think tank:

"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill.... All these dangers are caused by human intervention... The real enemy, then, is humanity itself"

  • @Zoefzoef24 We need to cut down the amount of energy we use to minimize plants and whatnot.

  • @Zoefzoef24 BC Canada has 86% hydro energy and it is cheap. Overall Canada is about 50% Hydro.

  • @Zoefzoef24 I have a solution! Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors, More efficient, more abundant resource, no explosion.
