  • groovy!

  • Anyone else think of Scooby Doo when they hear this? 1970s, baby!

  • i hope when she re-releases her first album, she will keep it as it is

  • oh really love this version, its ace!

  • In case you don't know...... Lana Del Rey <3 is obsessed with Lolita, 14 years old girl in love with 40 years old man (The movie 'Lolita' from the '90).

  • I do like the demo, but the album version is sexier!

  • God, this is SO much better than the album version. Dumb bitch

  • this version is so much better...

  • this version of the song reminds me of that movie Sucker Punch. love it!

  • her voice is pure sex

  • 123

  • Who thinks that a mash up of Diet Mtn Dew and You Can Be The Boss would be good?

  • i personally am not too fond of her music, but this song is everything to me.

  • One one...

  • I want to say THANK YOU, for the chance / possibility to have a voice .

  • I just love all her songs too, and what a voice !

  • On the album version there's that annoying sound in the background that reminds me of rain falling down on my velux :/ The first time I listened to the song on my ipod I was lying in bed and thought there was a heavy rain so I increased volume, which didn't quite help :) But this version is nice

  • His Name is JEHOVAH , NOT `Hey´ , YOU FOOL !

  • I`M GLAD Y O U EXIST !

  • I love this song and the version on the album. Same song, totally different production values and I can't split them :D I'm just glad it exists!

  • if you want listen the original: youtube.com/watch?v=RAG6yIKL0Lg

  • When I first listened to songs on Born To Die, Lolita was one of the few tracks I didn't really enjoy. Then I found this demo. Gosh, this is way better; studio version sounds too heavy.

Will be sticking to the demos.

  • I didn't think I was going to be able to find this again. Thank you so much for uploading <3

  • Es mejor esta versión.

    Firma: Plin

  • Thumbs up if you think this sounds like a James Bond theme song.

Thumbs down if you thinbk it sounds like a My Little Pony theme tune.

  • I prefer the album version of "Lolita" because it is darker and has a creep-feel .. But I prefer the demo version of Diet Mtn Dew ..

  • better than the "Born to die" version

  • The bass riff on the demo version is way too distracting.

  • I am madly in live with this song! Both versions of the song is absolutely amazingly great!

    Lana's voice is just wonderful.

  • I love the album version waaay more than the demo version. I love the dark feel of the song; the same goes for Carmen...GOD I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO HER NEW ALBUM!!!

  • Doesn't sound like the album version?

  • I'll be the minority here but I like the album version better. I think it captures the dark seductress vibe that the lyrics point to better. I think a song about a girl named "lolita" who sleeps around should have a dark and disturbing vibe to it, considering what a lolita is and everything.

  • @furb246 My thoughts exactly!

  • so much better than the album. The album is great. But it's over produced. Lana's got her own style and a unique voice. They should cut back with the bells and whistles and just let her shine.

  • RELEASE THE LIONS

  • Holy shit, where'd all the bass go on the album version. This is much better.

  • this version so much better than the album!

  • demo is defo better!!!

  • one, one..

  • which videos are the clips of her singing with curly hair from?

  • @FeeAleksandra That could be Video Games or Blue Jeans?

  • @FeeAleksandra Kinda outta luck

  • @FeeAleksandra Kinda outta luck

  • @FeeAleksandra Kinda Outta Luck. Check out my videos: youtube dot com / websitemad - for a little bit of her singing it live...

  • i like both versions, the demo has more swing whilst the album is more gritty darker

  • Lolita = Britney Spears Style

  • Absolutely love this demo version of the song. Still to hear the album version though (counting down...). The drum/bass sample from De Kift's song "Blind" is classic, and sounds great here

  • Best part ever 1:33

  • De Kift sample rules!!.

  • @daancox1966

Helemaal mee eens, maar mijn vraag is vooral hoe kent ze in godsnaam de Kift

  • <3

  • The album version is so annoying.

  • demo is better than the album version

  • @verdeveronese

    exactly!

the album version of Diet Mtn Dew is horrible also,

half of the record is way too "glossy"

    stick to the demos!

  • @Mintytambourine i guess i'm in the minority - i love the entire album, but i love the finals of diet mtn dew and lolita so much more. the whole feel is so much darker and fits the album better in my opinion

  • @Mintytambourine TOTALLY AGREE. Studio version of Lolita has SO much unnecessary background music/beats. Gawd, and its not even just Lolita. Diet Mtn Dew, National Anthem, AND This is What Makes Us Girls is SO much better on demo.. honestly. They added so many elements into the song, it sounds SO BUSY!!! Like I don't know what's going on. The demo was simple and sounded great itself. The studio should've stuck to enhancing it, not recreate it completely.

  • @Mintytambourine Where can I find some of her demos?

  • @Mintytambourine yeah! when i heard the new Diet Mtn Dew i was like, wtf?! I mean its awesome, but what with the beat in the background, it took me a while to get used to the album, but lana is still the best thing ive heard in a long time :]

  • @verdeveronese I agree 100%!!!!!!!

  • INRY

  • INRY

  • PROUD !

  • but i want the full old album too :(

  • And I need help! I'm instantly obsessed with this! Can't wait! ^^

  • Of her older work this is definitely the standout song for me.

  • Very good question, Bravo

    This is my suggestion :

    O.O. V.I.

    O.O. stands for `OH - OH´ ( I am scared )

    V.I. stands for Roman-number, means 5 plus 1

Please look into the Holy Bible : Revelation 13, Verse 18

Don`t worry, spell the name of God : JEHOVAH .

  • d. a. r. k.

  • What is she spelling ?

  • <3

  • too cute when she says lolita

  • her music reminds me so much of tarentino. and i love tarentino.

  • For me, this is the sister song to 'Girls' by Marina.

  • Is it girlie for a guy with a bunch of power tools to dance around shaking his hips in front of a mirror singing into a hair brush while making pouty expressions? I'm not saying I do that, but I have a friend who has a friend who knows a guy who does that to this song :)

  • Did you made this yourself?

  • I can't make up my mind if this or "you can be the boss" is better. I love "you can be the boss" but this is just so musical candy I can't stop listening to it. And as always, her best work doesn't get noticed.

  • Sickness! I haven't anticipated an album release this much in my life.

  • Comment removed

  • YES.

  • is it me or lana del rey 's lolyta is the "indie" market version of britney spear's toxic? it's even in the same key.

  • im non stop listening this for a month now.

  • Lolita Got Lost in the Hood !!!! Great description she gave of self in an interview ;)

  • great song and your really good at making videos!

  • I just love all her work. I don't think there will be one bad song on her CD. I can't wait for it.

  • Her songs are amazing

  • I search the lyrics.
