Thank you for uploading this! It's always great to hear the original version!
My understanding is that this recording is indeed out of print (RCA did not keep recordings in print for long). Another excellent version is recorded by Sarah Walker on her concert CD "Blah Blah Blah & Other Trifles" (Hyperion CDA 66289).
This is priceless! I heard them perform this together a year ago at UT's Butler School of Music. William Bolcom said he was rather embarrassed by it and that he hasn't agreed to perform it in twenty-five years! Personally I think it's ingenious. It's a shame, too, that my parents know people who make and eat stuff like this.
I heard this exactly once on Dr. Demento a long time ago, and remembered it ever since-- for at least a decade. Thanks for proving that I did not imagine it! So fun!
Omg i remember this from when I was little! I'm 14 now, and hearing it reminds me of when i was 5! Thanks for posting! Brings back some good memories! :D

I absolutely LOVE THIS! I am in the process of memorizing it - performed it for a group of friends...they think it is hysterical!

This is the best version, no question.
(I love the mad-scientist laughter in the last verse!)

This is a recipe worthy of Sandra Lee.

@bmh4d0k3n All it needs is butter and it could be a Paula Deen recipe.

I love this song. My kids could do the entire thing when they were younger!

Thanks SO much for posting this! It's one of my favorite pieces of theirs--just a delight! (Unlike the dish of the title, ahem!)
