@Hoopermazing Eddy and Carl both played the L-5, which I would kill to own. The L-50 was the everyday mans version; not as fancy, but just as sweet...
I like the looks of the big old f hole guitars like I used to see in movies. The cowboys and the big bands had them back in the 1930s and 1940s. Nice video.
I hadn't thought of that birdog. I just pulled out and looked at it..first time in about 4 years. Strings rusty, but still in tune..thanks for idea......ron
Hi Birdog. I had to have another look and listin to that great guitar. I like to pause the video, and just look at it, so beatiful. I forgot to tell you my first visit, I also have a guitar from the 30'. It's not the quality of yours of course, but it's a Gene Autry "round up". Once again..thanks for restoring stuff for other to also enjoy.
Wow I'm really impressed with your collection. Nice work Keep it up. I'm very partial to the Banjo, and The Tenor Sax, I guess mainly because I played Tenor Sax in the band. I much prefer its sound to an alto any day! Good work man. God Bless
WOW!!!! that is beautiful B'dog. thank goodness for guys like you that collect, restore, and preserve stuff. My dad was a collector of old radieos, and because he was, some are now in museums, like the radio museum in Huntington, West Virginia
A show and tell for grumpy old farts? Sounds like my kind of place. I love what you're doing. I love to do the same kind of thing, only with banjos. Rock on man!
when i get a camera i will lol. I spent most of my recent earnings on a british made Orange (not cheap) but i will post one of it as soon as i can. Does urs have that issue where the bigsby pull it higher in tune?
That ole thing sounds good.

Wow, that seems like a guitar that Eddie Lang or Carl Kress might have played.

@Birdog225 Now that you mention it... I believe that Groucho Marx played the same guitar, i.e. the L-5.

I live down the road from Fredricksburg, where did you find that?

Very very nice -- what are you playing along with? Whatever system you are using you are making some fine music.
Amazed at that guitar -- wonder why it was only one year of production with sound like that? Beautiful piece.
The next year, 1935, they introduced the best flat top that Gibson would ever build -- the Advanced Jumbo -- the originals go for over $30K today.
