What other effect are you using with your amp like at 3.46.Is that reverb that I here ? If so I wish you had of turned it off for this review of the pedal.Im thinking of buying one of these but don't use reverb much at all.
Great review*****It's funny, because I have an amp with more than enough gain (5150ii), but I still like pulling back on it and adding "subtle" flavor with various overdrive/distortion units. For my amp, adding a bit of Boss Blues Driver or MXR Custom Badass distortion, to the crunch channel already moderately overdriven yields some awesome, versatile old-school blues/rock tones. Once again, great review & pedal. Rock on bro!
I LOVE this review. I'm going check out this pedal tomorrow, my local music store carries this line. I'm like you've been, I just use the amp for my tone, but it's time I add a little "flavor." Very honest and informative demo. Time to check out some other stuff you have on here!
hey what do you think? i play metallica, pantera, van halen, gn'r type stuff so i was thinking bugera 333xl or 333 and mabye a channel for each style of distortion and/or clean, do you have any recomendations. i dont have any experience with tube amps my price range is about $0-$600 someone help please!!!
Great reviews and demos man. Really enjoy all your vids! What do you think of the Legacy? I want to buy a Legacy combo, do you think it sounds good at lower volume since I'll be playing in a small room? Do you get that Vai tone? I found a really excellent condition used Legacy combo with V30's, for about $500. Do you think I should go for it?
behringer pedals BLOW in a band setting where there's people walking around. if you're jamming by yourself it's fine, but that cord's gonna come out if you're playing with a band. the input is not secure at all. I used a behringer tuner pedal for a few gigs and every other song its like "hey, there goes my signal" there it went. sorry, rig not making noise now. the effect sounds fine but the input is a terrible horrible creation that i can't reccomend to anyone.i only have sheer hate for it.
That clean??? Hahaha. Hey man, you're the holy grail of demoers... Keep it up. Already suscribed. What about the adapter? Has it got a different polarity? OR it's just a standard AC adapter.
mtuck---really enjoy your vids. i am going to pick one of these pedals now. i have a bunch of behringer pedals already. ie US600; DC9; VT999; WD300; RV600; EM600; NR100; S0600; BDI21; FD300; TO800; OD100; DD600; AM400; + HB01. i am just trying to decide what amp to get the 1990 or the 6262. i like the older metal sound like maiden or priest, but don't want that tribal bow sound, like sepltura or nu metal, i think this 1990 + od800 might be the ticket
Quick question: I see that you've got the pedal plugged in to an ac adaptor. Is your adaptor specific to that pedal, or is it one that you use with other non-Behringer pedals? Reason i'm asking is because i saw another video where the reviewer said that Behringer pedals have an AC input where the polarities are reversed compared to other brands? I'm trying to see if this is true before i buy one. Thanks!
seriously awesome demo dude... I think I'll wait till I can get rid of this piece of shit guitar I built before I too much more extras for it, but I think Ill risk the 30$ and buy this pedal... sounded pretty sweet.
This is a great pedal because it doesn't have any tone of its own. Most overdrive pedals will add color or go digital. This one doesn't have any tone of its own. It simply enhances the natural tone of the amp. The only other pedal I have that does this is the Wylde OD. It's $100. I get compliments on my tone from people. Little do they know, one of my secrets to my tone is a $12 chorus pedal.
My problem with Behringer-pedals is not that they break, but they stop working properly after some time. Most of them sound really good though! The od400 is amazing as a solo-booster. So eventually I'll guess I'll get something that sounds like it, but of higher quality.
I bought a Vintage Tube Monster almost a year ago and that pedal still works good. when I first bought it I thought I was going to get rid of it after a month but I was wrong. it sounds very good for the price and it lasts
The plastic is a dealbreaker. I don't agree with you on that point. TC electronics drove a 40 ton tank over their G-system and it still worked. When I'm on stage and the energy is pumping I'm gonna step on that pedal really really hard, and what do you do if the pedal breaks mid-song?
There is something to be said about durability of a device, don't get me wrong. But there's also something to be said about being consciencious enough to take care of your equipment.
And besides, it's not as if pickups are guaranteed to work all the time. I've had wiring fail in the middle of a gig. All you can do is change guitars, or in this case, line in to your amp. It may not be the same, but what can you do?
dude u make the most kickass demos on youtube. great sound quality and even tho i know u r not a salesman, u really should be because you cover all points needed to sell someone on a product. just a few questions. 1 can u please please demo that carvin? i know u have been dreaming of one by watching your review of the 6262. 2 did u sell that 6262 or have u been spoiling urself with some sexy ass gear? lol. hope to hear from u soon. again props. nothin less than 5 stars for ur demos bro
The pickups are (I'm almost positive, because he said he liked to use these) GFS Crunch Rails pickups. The guitar (I'm guessing by the contours on the pickguard) Is an Ibanez RG.
The only weakness for these pedals is the hinge. Luckily the hinge-plates can be swapped out from the Behringer pedals that just die for no apparent reason. (Or you can keep the broken one, cut the spring down and tape them together.)
Which may or may not be pointless...5 of my 6 Behringer plastic pedals have so much buzz that they're unusable anyway. The only one in my pedalboard is the TU-300 pedal. (after changing the annoying blue led to a softer yellow one)
jeff hanneman an kerry king both used a jcm 800 not 900....either way ur first point was correct many of the hard rock an metal bands of the early 90's preffered the jcm900 for its versatility over the jcm 800 as well as the hard metal tones guys like dave navaro and tom delonge used jcm 900s too
Hey man i got a quick question for you.. i just recently got the Peavey Vypyr 30 watt ( not a gig player just a hobbyist) and its got some of the more heavy amps in it like the 6505, the Krankenstein, the JSX, etc. Is it worth it to get a basic OD pedal like you have here when the amp comes with stompbox effects like TubeScream and the like?
Btw my main playing style on electric is AC/DC, Van Halen, Ted Nugent, guys like that. Thanks much.
I like most of the Behringer pedals, especially for the low cost, but I think their heavy distortion pedals don't sound good at all. It's better to do what you're doing... use a good high gain head and an OD pedal.
Is this really the cam mic you're using? What camera is it? Sound quality is great.
Btw from own experience the hinges will most likely get a little sloppy with time, but nothing bad. The "click"-like feeling stopped with mine, but it never got bad per se.
you know
