I wonder what the flow was like in a CFRU game in the 30s? With 3 downs and it appears that they mostly rushed: was it rush, rush, punt most of the time? There aren't any good highlight videos on You Tube from this era, such as newsreels, for some reason.
The CFL is the best small league in the World. But it could be bigger with an American Merger. Then it would be part of the best Big League in the World.
Yeah well my idea of a CFL Merger is not what they tried in America in the mid 1990s where only one franchise succeeded. That was poorly planned to say the least.
The CFL has weathered far more financial difficulties than the NHL and but for the Great War, has always been presented each year.
But for a brief era of American expansion, it is in some ways more Canada's own game than hockey. And yet, in another sense, it has more in common with our American neighbours than hockey too.
