Wait a minute... If you watched the whole game, you will see frustration in Molina early on before any of this ever happened. When molina called for a pitch outside to try and pick off Backe at first. You can see in Molina's face that he has a serious problem and was out looking for trouble.

The only thing wrong with Backe's pitch, is that it didn't hit Molina in the face, like it should have been! He has a vendetta against the Stros since he got hit in the head last season.
