In case you are all wondering what kind of curse Simon Belmont has, it's a curse inflicted on him from Dracula during the last time they rumbled (Castlevania I). The curse is slowly but surely killing Simon (plus he sustained injuries from Dracula during the last fight), and the only way to lift the curse is to resurrect Dracula and seal him.
