  • Are you gay? wtf dude?

  • Gay pride might have started out as a means to be visible, but it's 2011 and it's now a time to party.

  • aspect of who we are but more so on the cultural aspect of who we are as a people and ultimately where we want to be on a positive note down the line and how we want to be truly be perceived.

  • My only problem with gay pride is that it is systematically noninclusive of alot of groups including straights, minus pflag. Gay culture is still perceived and thought of as a sub culture. In that, a number of us gays tend to look at ourselves as a sub group not worthy of acceptance or belonging. Until we respect ourselves, we will never fully be able to demand respect from the outside. Our focus should be empowerment and support of one another, with less focus on the sexuality

  • i hate gay pride because of the perverted element of it . i have nothing against gay people . The fact is if it was abunch of straight people acting like perverts id disagree with it also . I dont rly like seing drunk straight girls degrading themselves or drunk straight lads acting disgusting . It must be very depressing for moral gay men to see this kind of perverted display advertised as their "pride".

  • @SlashinatorX Only in your own mind - I'm not laughing. Unless you want me to laugh at morons and then that'd be you. Bring it on bitch - if that is all you got, you're as shallow as the next bigot.

  • @eddie94603 Im sorry for causing this trouble on your video.

  • Gay= Dudes taking it up the ass and suck dick. Fucked up shit.

Lesbian= Pussy on pussy action. That's some good shit.

Im just joking people. dont go "gay people are people too" "ur a lonely homophobe"

    Relax..... Peace gay dudes.

  • @ashraaf360 You need an education.

  • Gay pride is about nothing, just attention whores looking for some attention.... degrading disturbing... it's disgusting!!!! I am gay and I don't feel the need to have a rainbow flag, or to proclaim myself gay, I am gay, I married a man and I don't need to be a stereotypical ridiculous loud queen!!

AND YES SEX ON THE STREETS DO HAPPEN DURING THESE EVENTS.... also drugs and it's just gross and it's full of stereotypes about the gay community!

  • @TheYaom Don't you just love the spectrum of the rainbow? The flag I fly on my house is the flag of my country. I am not a leather (shoes and jackets don't count) man. Not into daddy/boy slave/master bear/cub or any of that other stuff.

And I simply don't go to pride because if I go, because, I've been there and done that. As to the sex on the streets... yeah, it's there and I have no interest in it. But Pride is a public declaration: "Stand, Speak and be Heard"

  • @TheYaom ...I think it's more about not being ashamed to be who you are. Although I am not one to parade about my town with a rainbow flag (As I would probably be shot or run over by some homophobic asshole) I am not one to hide my sexuality because I shouldn't have to.

  • My original point still stands though, and that is that I don't feel the need personally to use my sexuality like a neon sign to tell people who I am, in other words it'snot my defining characteristic. On another note, I didn't go to pride last year I was at a charity zombie march, but there was also an anti pride march which I couldn't believe when I heard. I look forward to attending my first pride next year and I'll see how I feel afterwards.

  • Thank you, you've reminded me of a point that I totally forgot in replying to Chucks video.

That is that for most young gay people in particular, Pride is that link or enterance to the gay community that they may need. I can recall the first time I went to a gay bar, and it was quite a shock. Not that it wasn't as it's portrayed on TV, sex in every dark corner and bitchyness and fighting, but that it was the opposite and I had no idea what to expect when I got in.

  • I understand where Grumpychuck is coming from. In a perfect world gay would not stand out as different from anyone else. There would be nothing to overcome and nothing to explain. If there was no visible or imagined difference then a pride factor would not only not be needed, it wouldnt even be conceived. Every time I see a gay pride parade, flag, bumper sticker or anything of the like it only reminds me that there is a sad reason they exist.
