  • THAT IS SO TRUE WITH MY 4RUNNER IT SAYS IM SUPPOSED TO GET 14/17 MILES PER GALLON BUT I ONLY GET ABOUT 8,9, AND IF IM LUCKEY ENOGUH 11, MILES IN THE CITY AND IF IM LUCKEY I GET ABOUT 15 TO 16 ON THE HIGH WAY BUT I LOVE MY 4RUNNER

  • great review

  • If this car was about 10 more mpg i would buy it

  • That one part was funny Hahahahahahahaha lol lmfaooo

  • haha...you're adorable!!!

  • i just got my big brother's old 4runner.

    i hate that motherfucker.

  • I like gear patrol but i dont like that i have to wait like 2 weeks for a new review and this guy has a huge nose (jew) which is always sunburnt.

  • Grocery getter and weak gravel roads, cumON! Show us what that thing can really do

  • Nicely done. Enjoyed the humor as well.

  • "they do a great job with utilizing every single cubic centimeter durr hurrr." he has no idea what he's talking about. 12-13 mpg? He's a fucking idiot. City driving in my 04 4runner(same engine, but with single vvt-i) I get about 18 mpg. Cruising at 70 mph or so I get 25 mpg.

  • haha this guy is awesome! thanks for the review!

  • "Frame on body"? Only in Russia.

  • On a side note, why is the subaru impreza called the STI? they didnt really think that through did they?

  • i love everything about this new 4runner except the smart key. if i ever have money for one, i would get the trail edition, with all the special features, except i fucking hate that damn "smart key" !! cant they just leave keys along and give me a normal one, when i get in my car i enjoy taking all my keys out of my pocket and letting them hang near the steering wheel for a while, i dont wanna sacrifice a cup holder or getting a fancier model just so i can get a normal key. maybe its just me.

  • Well duh the reason your getting 13-14 mpg is because your driving a 4x4. Thats gonna take it down some even if your not using it.

  • this is my favorite car in the world

  • shshshiiiit ! ha ha ha ha ha . . fuck ha ha . . maan i was about to die laughing at the last seconds of ur vid . hahaha looooooool . . ur fuckin funny

  • Thinking about buying a Limited model and stumbled upon your review. Great review, good energy! Too many reviews out there that put me to sleep, keep it up!

  • "75% of all 4runners still on the road"....that is an amazing percentage....most companies cant claim that.....i wonder the percentage of dodge neons on the road?...if any left...lol

  • I WAS ALMOST KILLED IN MY TOYOTA '06 4 RUNNER ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WITH MY TWO YEAR OLD IN THE BACK! NEVER EVER EVER WILL I BUY ANOTHER TOYOTA!! THIS WAS BEFORE ALL THIS CRAP WAS IN THE MEDIA...THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY FLOOR MATS!! TO BAD MY ATTORNEYS PROVED OTHERWISE. I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED FROM AROUND THE GLOBE FROM LAWYERS THAT HAVE CASES AGAINST TOYOTA. THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM....WAIT UNTIL THESE CARS GET HIGER MILES AND ARE KILLING NOT ONLY THE PEOPLE DRIVING THEM BUT ALSO THE INNOCENT!

  • @888shelly888 stop lyin....4runner is one of the most reliable vehicles in the world....and "all the media" crap was associated with the camry ....not one mention of the 4runner....AND DO YOU LIKE TYPING IN ALL CAPS FOR A REASON?...

  • @rsxzx6r My dad was going 90 km/h, I know you guys hate km (im canadian), and he hit a heavy plumbing truck that was running a red, he said it felt like a bad ski crash and nothing more! In most cars you'd be lucky to tell the tale, let alone walk away from it!

  • @888shelly888 Wait, I'm far more rest assured driving our 2004 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4x4 than the 2001 Ford Exploder we used to own till we traded it for the '04 $Runner. The 4Runner has a sturdier sheetmetal than the thin gauged one in the '01 Explorer we have. Plus the 4 Runner has a fully boxed frame that our Explorer lacked having a C-frame instead. Explorer roof was softer.

  • @888shelly888 You again?!

  • hey man this is Franky Wilde! get back in Ibiza, the summer is coming ! :))))

  • I am a 4runner owner. my last one is an 04, and after going to the dealer to upgrade to a 2010, I was completely disappointed. This is a step backward for any 4 runner owner. A 6 cyl, featureless box that makes my 04 look brand new again. and 19 inch ghetto tires on the ltd??? WTF? not one reputable tire co makes a decent 19. its time to look elsewhere for me (and believe me I dont like it) as this un-Toyota hits so far below the mark its embarrassing.

  • @icanafforditt Toyota will re-vamp again next year or after that, if you're dissatisfied. And I know the interior can use some better materials to live up to Toyota's reputation. But then again (it is a truck) Plus the Limited has 18inch rims, that use Yokohama tires on most of them, which is a great tire manufacturer. Or Good year. But I like the SR5 myself. Wish they'd use 17s instead of the 16s

  • @Zinizzle Good comment. I really like toyota trucks, and I do go off road ( nothing extreme) for fishing expeditions, etc. Yoko is OK, but look for yourself for any 19" tire that is on/off road and you'll see what i mean. they dont exist yet. the low rider look is for street use only. do they still use the torsen differential? and IMO, a 4runner supporter, this is the first year this truck really lookes crappy. it always had a classic, fantastic look , but no more.

  • @icanafforditt Yup, still reinforced body on frame. 4x4 is part-time on every trim except Limited models, both systems used a lockable Torsen center differential. And a Coil-spring independent double-wishbone front suspension with stabilizer bar; coil-spring 4-link with lateral rod rear suspension with stabilizer bar. Hopefully Toyota will give it an EARLY mid-cycle refresh, because I don't like the high belt line, Really hurts visibility. And the interior materials NEED an update.

  • @Zinizzle Holy _ _ _ _. someone who knows whats going on! OK, here's my questions to you: I've had these since the the late 80's. 1) IYO, does this truck look like crap compared to previous years, or is it just me? would they change ? 2) the 04 has height control, which I really like and the new does not. they claim its a PITA, but its on the lexus series. comment? 3) for a truck with an Off road rep, why use19" low riders on the LTD? stupidity? 4) would u buy one?

  • @icanafforditt Haha, it actually does look less attractive and cheaper in my opinion. Still not as cheap as any of the products from the big 3, but not as near the quality you found in previous generations. And the reason they probably discontinued the height adjustment option, it was probably too costly. But the price hasn't been lowered lol. Toyota has a reputation for dependability and quality to maintain, so they better push an early refresh on these. I'm waiting until THEN to buy one.

  • @Zinizzle Agreed 100%. the "big 3" execs have risen to their own level of incompetence. they cant build a vehicle anymore. Even this version of the 4 runner is better then anything else. But I wont buy another until they clean up this MESS of a 4runner. and, they better be built in Japan, or the quality goes down by 68.2% laughter. Anyways, if you hear of a major O/H coming down, let me know and I'll do the same from my side. Great talking to you!

  • you guys should do the svt raptor. you do a awesome job doing the reviews. Im sure that you will knock it out the park.

  • I have had so many problems with random boulder/ icestorm / tree dodging incidents I know my next vehicle ty. Seriously though great review on a great car.

  • My grandfather has an 03 4runner Sport Edition.. and that thing is a beast, with less horse power and less torque.. why is this one slower?

  • Wish Toyota would fix the driving position before I think about getting one :/

  • Comment removed

  • @smashbrosfan13 Nope this is a completely new generation on the fifth gen.

  • it is, like, you know...

  • What kind of 2 door hatchbak? hmmm maybe a Subaru Impreza WRX???STI haha

  • You mean body on frame lol, good review though, and funny lol

  • everyone these days tries to sound so witty, so sharp. they all end up sounding exactly the same. boring, contrived, just-like-everyone-else. internet has really ushered in a new very annoying era of people who think they're special just because it's easy to publish to the internet. ZZzzZZzzzZZzZzzzZzzzzz. this was more about the reviewer than the fucking car.

  • HAZARD 1:02

  • I love the 4runner but this review sucked off-road does not mean dirt road it means make your own road and if your gonna do a reveiw know what the hell your talking about im 17 and know more than this guy also dont floor it then complain about gas mileage

  • @tundralover He couldn't possibly be flooring it on the interstate the entire time, and it only got 17. That's terrible no matter how you look at it. Of course, in an SUV like this you're not really looking at gas mileage too much. Stop being an arrogant little kid and go make your own review then or buy this car. Oh wait, you can't.

  • @PantstofryPWNZ maybe hes just an idiot (like you), maybe he is trying to be funny but my opinion is it sucks its a great vehicle but the review sucks and oh yeah why cant I?

  • @tundralover You can have your opinion on the car and be a total fanboy, that's fine and I won't stop you. I find the reviewer to be really funny while being informative. Sounds like you need a bland dose of Consumer Reports or some yawning review. Also, yeah, I'm sure you've got the tens of thousands of dollars saved up to buy this car. You're also a minor, have fun somehow being able to purchase it, not to mention insurance & gas. Oh, unless you're one of those that has mommy and daddy pay.

  • @PantstofryPWNZ I am i huge fan of toyota and i would not mind owning one of these but im just 18 so i can go buy whatever i want i wish i could but i can not i put a down payment on a 2007 Toyota Tundra Crewmax Limited about 3 weeks ago on 9/26 i turn 18 on 9/14 and Im not gonna lie my grandpa did co-sign but i am making the payments i am paying the insurance and the gas my mom and dad havent paid anything on it

  • Wow that Flip video camera takes pretty impressive video quality :o

  • Best behind the wheels I've ever seen.

  • nice video, should have done a bit more offroading on camera

  • I have a 1994 4Runner. This 2010 4Runner has 16 years of advancement of technology and not getting any better gas milage than my 94. And off-road? My moms Camry coud do that gravle road. btw, I know the 10' 4Runner can do more tough stuff than that dirt road. But not much more! Sadly they wussified the 4Runners. They are way more of a city vehicle now with minor off road capabilities. I did enjoy this review, it was thorough and had some humor. But its not a serious off-roader as the older ones

  • @Zeronieo Actually the new Toyota 4runner does have a 'Trail Edition" package if u so desire off-road capabilities. But the Limited edition does not have that sort of off-road madness. And most SUVs these days hardly see dirt. They are more of city dweller type SUVs.

  • @Zeronieo Uh....yeah...the Trail edition can DO much much more...even the SR5 and limited can do quite a bit. Just check out the videos on the youtube.

  • what a stupid review

  • You offered more insight into this vehivle for me than actual delaerships could. Oh yeah, and you freakin hilarious. Keep up the good work!

  • Wow, great review! best review ive seen for this, great music too. Look forward to more!

  • @flnycus We have a lot on our youtube page...so check the others too. Hopefully, you enjoy them as well.

  • I love Toyota and espically the 4runner.

  • This dude is funny. Oh...and the 4Runner is OK too. I think Toyota f'd up by not putting the V8 in it. Bad move. Good video though. :-)

  • @BMWDRE10 they do have a v8 option, but why would you want a v8 a 4runner anyway?

  • @oliloveskath

Maybe someone has a boat or any other thing they wanna pull?

  • Subscribed

  • Great review!

I just wish it had a bit more views of the actual car... from a bit farther away you know?

And interior. That is a big thing for me.

  • Well done! Very entertaining, and funny. Keep up the good work!

  • lol....it is the Dude from the Doritos funeral superbowl commercial

  • Very cooll, i have one of my own in the dominican republic, very nice episode, please tell me the name of the artist and song that aperece in the episode. Thanks.

  • Frame-on-body construction? Now that's different. This guy, like, needs to like, uh, you know, maybe not be doing this, um, like, you know? He's too slick and funny for this.

  • i love the soundtrack. could I have the list of the artist names and titles please. thanks!

  • @empressvkaren Thanks for the idea. We've started putting the titles and artists in the actual video in the bottom right. So check our new reviews and you'll see them. Great idea!

  • It didn't comment about the on road and off road ride.

  • Hilarious! when he points to the old wagon as the 4runner. Well done.

  • This guy doesn't know a damn thing about cars or trucks....what a joke.

  • my mom is getting one soon

  • previous models were far better with Solid rear axle!

  • i hate the assist things thats the only thing i dont like about the truck

  • @ gearpatrol me and my wife really want this SUV. is it really a good choice?

  • the car is nice

  • 7-1/2 minutes worth of worthless information.

  • Shutup about recalls already- 4Runners are NOT on the recall list.

  • "frame on body"? only when you've rolled it...

  • I wish they could make the look more aggressive, its the same case with land cruiser. But I think the best Toyota is still a 80 series land cruiser. The besssssssstttt

  • this guy needs to get out more...but great SUV!

  • very nice review. i want to ask if it is possible for you to do a car review for the new Kia cerato forte? i really wanna know more features about this car.

  • @ 0:45 hahahaha

  • Very Nice review man! btw, what camera did you use?

  • @kebbin15 we shoot with a little ole' Flip HD. Easy to use and looks great online. More to come.

  • I'm confused. I didn't think you could get the rear Diff locker in the limited edition? We really want a Limitd but the lack of KDSS the rear locker and less of an approach and departure angle than the trail edition not sure if I can justify the extra cash.

  • This guy must drive with his foot on the floor to get the milage he's getting. Our 2010 4Runner averages 18.5 mpg around town and 23.5 mpg at 70 mph. If I slow down to 60 mph, the average goes up to 26 mpg. Absolutely love this car.

    Nuf said.

  • the government did not build defective cars and then lie about it toyota did

  • hey whats the song in this review?

  • @Zoreku Common-I Want You

    is the first one

  • toyota refuses too release information from the event data recorders in the unintended acceleration cases why? toyota could clear thier name id the edr's didnt prove there was a problem. and why did akio toyoda cry on national tv ? what made this proud legacy weep in front of the world and proclaim he was deeply sorry? why does toyota say the recalls wont totally fix the problems? who would put thier childern in a new toyota today?

  • Fuck you. The U.S. govt. is going after Toyota to help out government-owned GM and other companies and their union friends. The govt hates Toyota because its eating away at GM's profits and it refuses to unionize its workforce.

  • frame on body??? isn't it body on frame??

  • sad that most people that buy this truck will never know more about the vehicle's capabilities than these guys.

  • 4runner on future shopping list

  • Awesome review

  • Great review! Way better than the typical carscom or edmunds. Keep 'em coming!

  • Thanks, FJCruisin09. We appreciate that. We'll keep em coming, for sure.

  • Your reviews are great. Keep it up. Some just have nothing good to say.

  • You're not good with engine volume? Cubic centimeter or whatever? Dude, you're hosting an AUTO REVIEW. At least know the basics so that people THINK you know what you're talking about.

  • total ripoff of TOp Gear - lose the opera in the background idiots

  • Nah, 5th Gear is a Top Gear ripoff. This is more like SoCal guys don't have mechanical knowledge whatsoever, but do a pretty good job explaining the vehicle to the majority of people who will buy it (Yuppies with Coach diaper bags). Still I'll take Jeremy Clarkson over these guys any day.

  • How about trowing in a hot chick to go along with your review man.

  • frame on body, thats what happen when you rollover on one of these expensive SUVs

  • He says frame on body... isn't it body on frame?

  • yes

  • wannabe top gear

  • Check out 6:35 doesnt that remind yall of nightrider??? lol

  • "but tht tree uproots boulders and an ice storm", but ive never been off road, "its okay just hit the button and eat ur taco"

  • if you are speeding in a 4runner you wont get good gas mileage

  • I like tacos. good review, i think im buying a limited. Its a good truck. but the only problem that here in Guatemala thievs adore toyotas. I need a gun.

  • gud review......next time, show more car and less of ur face.. u media whore....lol

  • it's Kalifornia....everybody is a media whore. hahaha
