  • REMINDS ME OF U TERESA

    MISS U GIRL

    MURTLE TURTLE

  • I like the way the band interprets this song here, much better than the record.

  • pnyc1969 - This is the answer: It is the exact same that she wore on AMA. The dress was designed to be 'supreme ' when she performed on the AMA. More imporantantly it is a costume - full of rich color (won't fade in the camera), durable, and made to last for years. On AMA she wore pink to stand out amongst the many performers on stage with her. Believe it or not it one of Bob's originals for her. Yes! It cost $3,800. Therefore, though years later - one must get their monies worth.

  • @yesrossyes I watched both performances side by side and I have determined that you may be right. In 1987 she wears it off her right shoulder, my first indicator that it was a different dress. But at the end she wears it on the shoulder, like in this clip. In '87 it was shinier and deeper in color but it may have faded. Why would I not believe it's Mackie? It probably is. Let's hope she does an exhibit of her costumes for us fans to see!

  • J'adore ..............

  • Thanks you for posting this. as someone who was there and hasnt been able to see ita again in years this is heaven!!

  • I looked at footage of the AMA show when she sang this and wore a pink dress. This is a different version of the dress. It's not quite as pretty as the first one. I'd like to know if there is some significance of wearing such a style to sing this song. It seems strange to repeat a dress style many years later to sing a song that is not even an important one in her catalog. Does anyone know? She looks very pretty and sounds great here.

  • @pnyc1969 This dress and performance is more saucy for a more liberal audience. Diana definitely gets the specific commercial market thing. That's one of the reason's she's so wealthy

  • @SpazChat More liberal than whom? She wore the first version in the USA. It's not something she did for the European audiences, if that's what you're implying.

  • she was raking in a huge pile of cash for shows during that time.

  • A little gem in her catalog and a perfect example of the mid-80s flirtation with Caribbean sounds that was everywhere at the time. The 1985 AMA performance of this (maybe the only other?) was even better. I she wore this dress on that show as well. It's already quite old at this time.

  • @pnyc1969 actually it was in 1987 AMA the openning act with this song!

  • @81StrangeFruit I know. But that doesn't answer my question. I want to know if there is some particular reference to be aware of for the pink, girlish, almost identical dresses she wore in performances 7 years apart.

  • @pnyc1969 Beautiful dress. Here is the answer.

  • @pnyc1969 The style fits the song because she can twirl like Marilyn Monroe and show her panties.

  • How in the world did she change her clothes so fast????

  • I always wondered how she changed clothing that fast ! :O

  • excellent quality video!

    thanks for positng

  • DIANA ROSS IS A DAMN SUPER DIVA SHE CAN WORK A STAGE :)

  • Wonder is she still has this much energy in her shows today.. 20 yrs later

  • The instrument sound in the beginning hears like so much to hang!

  • someone isn't wearing a bra ;) make that a habit babe

  • I especially love this dress on her! Diana is so amazing!!!!

  • simply the best diana forever

  • this song is to begin the year so cuteeee...happy 2010 4 all!

  • Dit Swingt de pan uit!

    Wat een geweldige zangeres !!

    Dank voor deze clip

    Theresia

  • Each time I hear this, I'm reminded of the soundtrack of Weekend at Bernie's II. If they ever make a third one, this should be the theme song.

  • This would be a good concert to put on DVD! :)

  • She is sexy! Those outfits are wonderful!

  • The girl was sizzling!!!!!

  • Twirl girl, You better work that stage Miss Ross!

  • How I would love to have this concert on dvd....she was on fire that night.

  • Do you think, what I think???

The song "Hot Legs" by Rod Stewart MUST be dedicated to Diana Ross!
