I first fell in love with Heath Ledger watching him on this show. My husband and I loved this show so much. Hard to believe Heath has been gone three years already. I'm glad to hear it's on DVD now. I'll have to buy it.

You can get the entire series on DVD. Did you know that this show was written and produced by Shaun Cassidy(yes. THAT Shaun Cassidy. Heath Ledger was only 18 years old and Shaun flew him over from Australia and gave him his start.

Great series! I remember this episode and I have always wanted to know what the song is at the end of it. It is beautiful. Heath Ledger did an amazing job in this series. One of the few good things to come from SciFi. I agree, there should be more on the Celts.

Heath Ledger did such a great job in this series, which was too short lived--I wanted more exploration of the legends of the Celts, perhaps even a bit about Cuchulain....

Sigh. Perhaps another day there will be a series on the Celts.

He is surprisingly good. I have not seen this show, but I remember Heath's comments about it: "It started out as a very dignified, Braveheart-esque drama, but as the network became desperate for ratings, slowly no one's wearing clothes. (Like a bunch of bikini models)". This kind of gave me cold feet about enthusiastically searching for DVDs here in Japan. Thank you for this opportunity.

This is when I first admired Heath. I was one of the few who saw "Roar" and now own it on DVD. It's sadly only one season but Heath's own spirit shines through & his potential as a good actor can be seen. Though I didn't see the greatness he later showed in being able to become his charactor and not just act as his charactor. As so many others have more eloquently expressed this tragic loss to our community of humane beings, I will end by just saying "the world is less beautiful today"

I loved Roar from when i first saw the reruns. at the time no one knew who in the world heath was. he is an amazing actor and this is anamazing story line. it broke my heart when they even started taking off the bloody reruns. it should have never been taken off the air. there is however the dvd set available which i have been intending to buy. i am obbsessed with heath. have you ever seen him in Ned Kelly? AMAZING

Another fan here! Just watched all 13 eps. Baby Heath is adorable. You can see the making of the man he is now. Pity the series was cancelled before it had a chance. It's a lot of fun.
