Also to attack it you have to chop the large crystal on top it with a power slash while it is stunned and than put your partner in the cannon and light it. It took me about 4 tries to realize it. I felt so dumb after realizing how easy that boss was. (SPOILERS) Still, worth it to see Chibis Grandma/Grandpa. (Probably grandma)

Honestly, I love the big-screen systems rather than the DS. Okami made me love it through the bigger systems, and bigger the system the more space of the story. Which is the 2nd best in the game. The art being the first. Pokemon is the only game I'll play on a gameboy or DS, though I realize Black and white will really damage the sales. My favorite DS series will be what slightly holds back my dream for an Okami 2 on the big screen. Not big and fluffy 3D. -_-'

Oh no, they've set the release date for March 15th...Even thought that's in the near future any DS gamer is gonna be deep in their new pokemon black/white game. Do not get me wrong, I am a fan of the Okami games, but I find it a waste for the game developers to make a game for the DS. The graphics and animation on the PS2 Okami was simply beautiful and stunning. If they were capable to do so much in the PS2, imagine what they could do on the PS3!

There are GOOD graphics on hand held game systems, but full game consoles are always superior.

I own a DS as well, so its fine for me. Just saying they can do a lot better on the PS3. So much possibilities!

Capcom put Okamiden on the DS for 2 reasons.

1) To sell more, and by extension have further installments in the series get better sales (if my best masterpiece didn't sell I'd do the same thing!).

2) The touch screen is perfect for the celestial brush.

This game looks great. Chibiterasu is adorable, the gameplay looks solid, I just wish they kept sub-weapons but I guess a partner will have to do.

Can't say I'm fuckin' disappointed. The graphics are perfect, the mechanics look like they could possibly even be better and more creative than it already was, and they did an excellent job at remaking maps and models from the original game. I'm tempted to buy the Japanese version just so I can play it sooner. I read up on the Wikipedia page they managed to get many very talented people to work on this, including some major roles in Clover.

@JCReiki They aren't chibi forms. The story takes place 9 months after the original Okami. You don't play as Amatersu, but her offspring Chibiterasu along with Susano and Kushi's offspring Kuni. It's a totally new storyline with new characters, not chibi forms of the originals.

This just doesn't look as promising as Okami. You can't really follow up to a console game with a handheld, and playing as Ammy's pup carrying around Susano's premature runt (hasn't even been nine months since Okami ended at this point) to replace Issun just doesn't seem to have much potential. I am really curious, but if I play this game and it's good as good as it looks, it'll probably turn me off from Okami for a really long time :/

I really liked the original Okami for the wii. Getting to use my wii remote to pwn the sh*t out of monsters made it just that much funner. Plus i think the beauty of the art in the game is displayed better on a tv then some mini ds screen T.T hopefully they make more for the wii and ps3 and what not

deep down, what the one of the staff said from an interview in a magazine i read, he wasn't on the development team. His statement that, "if you're not in charge of a world you created when you're making a sequel wasn't worth it."

, I'm still sketchy myself to get a ds just solely for this game. but then again...I do want some closure as do a lot of fans out there on this game. ^^
