  • Wait, I'm confused. Isn't the traditional western way to scare the bejeebers out of them, throw a rope around their neck, saddle and a flank strap to ensure they buck madly? Isn't that "just the way it's done"?

Yes, I'm being facetious here. Sure seems to me that THIS way would give you a horse that trusts you. Sure worked for me, but I'm an English ridin' pussy.

Nice to see a guy in a western hat doing it kindly, with no violence. Now if only rodeo people would listen.

  • Ya, I would try to approach and retreate method with the halter. Just before he decides to back up I back up. This sometimes takes the horse off guard and you will be suprised by how many times the horse will then take a step toward you. After a few times of getting closer and closer you will beable to stand next to him. Then use the same method with rubbing your hands around the halter area by starting at a comfortable area and moving toward the head and retreating. Then repeat with the halter.

  • hope nobody payed this guy to train what an idiot throwing a rope at a already scared horse, u taught hem to run from somebody alright if that is something u teach

  • @MRJRILEY19841 If your calling him an idiot for throwing a rope at an already scared horse then you are calling some of the top trains in the world (people who know quite a bit more than you) an idiot. His training methods are not new. They are a mix between a few top trainers like clinton anderson with a small twist of Monty Roberts (Im not a huge fan of MR). But you must respect the fact that he is willing to take the time to learn how to start horses. (Clinton Anderson Starting.. buy it)

  • I do not knock any ones training. I have had many wild Mustangs. I would have gone about this totally different. First this neddy is backing off. NEVER step in his place.I know this is a demo but hey your showing others. Also before trying to put that halter on why not show it to the horse from the side not in his face. Feel him down with it. come on some horsey savy here. I have learned alot from cow boys theres still alot of BS and alot of no need. RULES never overpower your horse become one.

  • too bad you werent there this year.

  • ufff that's hot!!!!

  • i got a horse and well the previous owner didnt tell us that we couldnt work with him on his right because we figured out that she didnt train him on both sides. i tried to mount on the right side becuase i thought that it wouldnt matter. i was wrong, he frreeaakkeedd out and now when anyone is on his right side he gets a little frisky and jumpy. how can i fix this? my trainer said that he would need to be trained all over again but i think there is an easier way.

  • @ilovemyhorse8077 hey try watching jay o jays program helps u train a horse easily

  • just amazing, i hope one day i can be this patient, understanding, and connected to a horse. its just simply amazing what one can do with horses simply by moving a shoulder.

    good job! great video!

  • dude please that is not a horse that is like a large DOG...........very funny wish I could see you with a real size wild horse ......you know the one that will just go crazy by you just been in the square the one that has never been held or touched or been around humans.......So please STOP with the WILD HORSE thingy .......From me a real cowboy that breaks in real wild horses you know the ones that actually try to attack you ..........

  • @philippecowboy I'm not seeing any of your videos that show how good you are. I'm kinda thinkin that you aint in a position to criticize. Besides, if you're running into a lot of horses that attack you, I can pretty well bet that you're doing something to cause it. My guess is that you probably push 'em harder than you ought to.

  • @philippecowboy im sixteen, and obviously, it's a young horse, they are just as stubborn as bigger ones, if you're a real cowboy, why are you such a dumbass? REAL wild horses arent usually that big. not usually more then 15hh. maybe this guy is tall too. he is doing training the right way. it isnt the size of the horse that shows the skill. show off all you want, but.. you AINT a fucking real cowboy.

  • I have bought Train Wild Horses, you can read my review here - clickbankreviewdude(dot)com/train-wild-horses-review

  • i adopted a 6yr old mare from the BLM what do you advise me too do in order to gain her trust. And what should i do as far as letting her no that biting isn't exceptable becuase she is very aggressive and comes at me palnning to bite me.

  • @rockymarie100 any thing goes when they bite, smack, as long as they are not hurt, that is what john lyons advises and it worked for my mustang, he doesn't even think of biting any more. but you can only do it for 3 seconds, he is very gentle now and does not bite.
