the effects were very well done. that's about all i can say, choreography looked really simple and Lord Mal looked emo, you could've done without the eye-shadow.

Your shot variation can be a different. Maybe have some close ups of the saber, visual transitions or pan shots. (left to right or vice versa).

The beginning was great, I loved the whole idea with the mentor working with the student! To add a little more, maybe have the beginning of a Siths' life with your protagonist. All in all, well done!

My advice for you is keep up the practice, take different ideas and make your choreography better. Sure, people are going to knock on your videos. I've practiced with swords for years, so, the best advice I can give, is practice. Watching your video, and reading the other comments here, I have my own opinion. The story was interesting to say the least. I won't say its the worst, because I have seen far worse. The effects were great. Timing with the sound was also good. Red lightning is definitely original on your part, nice work. Choreography, well, it was done with younger actors, so I can understand if the choreography isn't perfect, but it was still good overall. Ending was great as well. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars!

The flashback was an interesting idea. The effects were good. I like the language. I like the teleporter concept as well. Lord Mal's "guests" were strange but again, interesting concept. I was disapointed when it came to the fighting itself, but all around interesting film. 3/5.Gee... I said the word "interesting" alot in this review.

Actors in the final duel looked like they were just trying to hit eachother's sabers instead of attacking their opponent. It didn't look like an actual swordfight.

Over all, good movie. But please, for your next Star Wars themed video. Please actually study lightsaber combat. Your sith character, was very Jedi like in his moves. Plus, they moved....really slow. But still, good job. I give it a four.

Impressive job. I can see a lot of work on that video. For people who doesn't know - Light Sword effect is easy but very slow process . It is called Rotoscoping and video editors needs days and days - months and months to edit the whole video. 1 second video is ~= 30 frames. Video editors need to edit every single frame, for best looking effect. Well done ppl, keep it up. 5/5 stars .

Now, what I liked. The make up was a nice touch. It seems to give some charater to the whole thing. It made a good contrast to the Jedi, who is clean in comparsion, as well as showed age.

The sound was nice, and the concept of obstacles appealing, and the back story added to everything nicely.

The force sheild. Jedi all have mild difference, since their power comes from within. It's nice to see some liberty of ideas that stand true to design.

Use of another language. Added atmosphere.

Not bad. I'd have liked a bit more realism though. Acting needs a touch up of course, but my main concern is the timing.

The sith to me appears far superior, using more fluid motions, and that seems to be intended. Yet there are some obvious openings present in both fighters.. a sort of laspe that would not occur in battle, as the oppentent would use them, not wait for recovery.

And a more fluid moving fighter would know not directly hit a staionary defense like that.. it wastes the blow.

very nice short, i liked it a lot. You should definately rearrange the choreografy, tough - the don't look like they want to kill each other. Also the lightsabers are a little too thick (in my opinion).
