I just saw another video using apples as an example of oxidation... one slice was covered in lemon juice overnight and the other was left to the free radicals... the lemon covered one was as good as new. How then are APPLES a good source of antioxidants!? I feel as if I'm being lied to.
i heard eating your own shit has an orac value of 36.76x100^199^5678 basically you can live off eating your own shit, just ask barak obama and his gook coolie followers.
ummmm............there are Foods out THERE THAT HAVE TONS MORE ANTIOXIDANTS THAN THE ONES SHE JUST TALKED ABOUT.............THEY ARE CALLED SUPERFOODS... LIKE GOJI BERRIES, SPIRULINA, MACA, CACO, MAQUI BERRIES, MARINE PHYTOPLANKTON, HE SHU WU, NOIN...
You are definitely correct about that, the only implication is they are still doing research on some of these "superfoods" to see how beneficial they really are.
And superfoods is just a marketing term/tool used, not an actual industry-used term by physicians or dieticians.
@Tallguy2011 I made a research and you are totally correct. The issue that I find is that there are really difficult to get. In my city I find non of them. I asked and they do not know them. So I go with that I have. A good breakfast with oatmeal, nuts and berries, good, tasty and easy to find.
Why did the woman say "cultivated blueberries"?? There is no difference in antioxidants level compared with wild ones. What is more in Europe you can pick bilberries that have MUCH higher levels of it.
I myself have blackcurrants in my garden that have even more antioxidants including record amounts of vitamin C. I'm surprised blackcurrants haven't been listed. I suupposed the list contains only the most promoted products in USA
interesting good to know
