  • Also if your a heavy equipment operator and you just took a course good luck finding a job. Any construction company wants at least 7 month to 1 year experience and most of the construction companys want 3-5 years experience and you need at least 3 years to be insuranced under them. Most construction companys wont even look at you so I hope you know someone if your going to spend money and think your going to get a job!

  • Bulldozer and grader arent hard to move around just really hard to get your grade and can be really frustrating at first.

  • @mmaboxingfan2 Ya tell me about it! I have been working at the county landfill since feb. There really isn't any flat lifts. Almost all of it is side slope work. Took me a while to get used to the cutting edge on the d6r xl. alot bigger than the ones that they had at that crappy school. Also took me a while to get used to trackin side slope backin up. Now I don't mind the upper track coming half way off the ground.

  • Um, brake one track/turn right before the tip and you'll never slam down. Same in reverse and you can even counter your blade up in forward or down in rev. I've seen a few heads bust windows and busted lips too, but hey they didn't know. Thanks for sharing too. I've never seen these H.E. school vids before... now I gotta see some more.

  • @Fastdirt505 Thanks for the tips. It took me a three years to land an operator job after going to school for it. I finally did it though. I am now working at a landfill running dozer and landfill compactor.

  • @MariposaDozerman Congrats on making it happen. It's really tough in this industry and has been the last couple of years. You got Foremans working for Foremans because of all the lay-offs. Do they get mad if you scratch the equipment at the landfill... I'm just kidding. I saw an awesome D8T Waste Handler over the weekend and made a video of it, you'll probably like it since you probably work around the Waste Handler setups at work

  • is this the Local 3 union training center in Rancho Murieta,Ca just south of Sacramento?

  • @redheadedduckhunter No it Is the Northern California College Of Construction In Stockton, ca..... I regret going there terribly. I should have joined the local 3 apprentice program instead. I believe that is the training center in which you are talking about.. This school in this vid charged me a crap load of money for minimal training.

  • i wonder why u haven not found work in 2 years. think about it

  • Worst part is I spent a lot of money to go to this school and haven't found any work in two years that has anything to do with it...I would not suggest anyone going to a heavy equipment school. I am still trying though.

  • @MariposaDozerman

Dude the only schooling you need on a dozer is on the job schooling... Get in a company.. work hard for a few years as a laborer and you will move up.... These schools are a waste of time!

  • @MariposaDozerman where do u live? u might just live in a place with no jobs

  • wow...

  • yeah, shit out of luck is right .unless your just playing around at the schoo.l i'm sure there is a bathroom pretty close.

  • Guess you're shit out of luck if you're having a bad day and find yourself with a brutal case of diarrhea with work like this.

  • @Authilus they have port-a-potties...

  • good operating...

  • lol 450 with a ripper....

  • That aint no Cat D4. Its a John Deere 450
