I am not sure what brown animal is but it is definitely not a longhorn. face, horns, hips, backbone are all wrong. The brown and white might be a longhorn but I only got a short look. At least the horns and hips look more like a longhorn.
@Juanbarba they grew these long horns as a part of their adaptation to their environment. they needed long sharp horns to fend off wolves and to hook down leaves and twigs from trees.
Ok, seriously, you MUST read a book called Wild Cow Tales by Bed Green. One of the stories is about a bunch of bulls he traps by soaking his pants in blood, climbing a windmill, and waving the pants in front of it to attract the other bulls. Very entertaining, one of the best books ever written.
I think I saw an eat more chicken text balloon flash by; LOL. My guess that animal is a large pet. There in 1 long longhorn in a pasture with a herd of modern cattle, I assume it's a pet as well. Non of my neighbors have anything that interesg.
@ThisIsMySockAccount I'm fairly certain that those horns are hollow. I used to have an ashtry made from the end of longhorn's horn, surprisingly light. Evolution was kind to them in regards to having carry around heavy horns.
@westkan actually westkan, they weigh an average of 30-50lbs each. The largest recorded, which had horns that weighed approx. 100lbs each. Evolution is a fairytale. Have a nice day.
@ThisIsMySockAccount Thanks for the data. On average still surprisingly light, considering heavy is relative, when the total weight of the animal carrying them is considered. Evolution is science, science that uses he latest research. Fairy tales are, well, fairy tales, fiction. Thanks again...
Glad to see Dan take a day off from teaching his class.YouTube 101.or maybe he is up to something.I hope that steer doesn't stay still to long Dan may try to cook it with one of his lenses.
@OlGreyWolf58 I wonder how many farmers will have to protect their cattle from hungry people when the SHTF ??? How can you protect your cattle when you have a million people running from the cities into the countryside. No single person has that much ammo.
