It still amazes me that the Phase 3 GT HO ran 14.2 1/4 mile from the showroom with a 351 and the Charger ran a 14.4 with a 265 Hemi and was the fastest 6cyl in this country until the EB Falcon XR6 1992.Everyone knows that if Chrysler Australia ran V8s at Bathurst they would have cleaned up.I rate the XB as the Greatest large Ford ever.Especially the XB Coupe,shits all over any Mustang,if we had the same engines as the Americans like the 428 CobraJet it would have been better.

The most underated car film ever. This is 2 lane blacktop but in a much more simple form.

The script and editing was not great, but the race scenes were fantastic as was the cinematography. This is what petrolheads really wanted as opposed to the opocoliptic max max films. This was a film for the guys on the streets.

Im from the uk and they would have never really pulled off a film like that here. Back then a fast car was a 2 litre escort with 130bhp, which is pale in the ozzie z8 world.

oh really i th0ught they wre both genuine. i know the monaro written off at the start was only a six cause if u pause the vid while the accident happens u can see the monaros bonnet open to reveal a 6, but didnt realise the xys were mockups aswell. how did u find that out
