  • it is not the most powerful 30 cal to day theres the30-378 wetherby mag and even bigger the 300 allen express

  • What the fuck if power level two has performance of a 300 wsm then why the fuck would I pay 100 bucks for rum when I can just pay 30 for a wsm power level is point less unless it is power level 3

  • sad.

  • Oooops....wrong page I left a comment on. So sorry.

  • @LacyStockings lol ahahahah

  • I just wondered. If you say you are gay, there is no problem. Most people don't care about that any longer. Just tell your sig other if you have one, you have a boyfriend and want the divorce. Just because you like men doesn't make you a bad person. You can still hang out with straight men and probably be glad you came out of the closet. Good luck!

  • I totally agree Romo, Its a pretty impractical round unless your'e going for a rhino... I have 223 rem and a 308 win for my normal hunting... I ended up getting 338 Lapua Mag... yes i wanted a dragster LOL

  • Last thing I'll say about the RUM's. For the average shooter who doesn't reload i'd go with something different. The lighter caliber "popular" magnums, i.e, 7mm Rem, 300 Win, are cheaper to shoot and can be had in LOTS of different bullet weights for quite a bit cheaper AND can be bought anywhere. Not so with the RUM's. Barrel life is shorter too. But...some of us must have the dragster! Go with your heart & wallet man!

  • Recoil-the 300RUM kicks pretty good. Not unbearable but after 10 rounds I'm done. Not made to spend the day at the range. Sight it in and be done. Its a hunting round. The 7RUM is not bad at all. I shoot 140gr blts with 88 gr pwdr and it isn't bad at all. I had a Ruger 30-06 that felt way worse. As my buddy said about 7RUM, if you can't shoot that your a pussy. Must reload for RUM though. Too expensive to be wrth while.

  • The Ultra Mags are awesome. I own the 7 and 300. Flat shooting and hard hitting. I've killed 8 deer with the 7RUM and none have taken a step. No bloodshot meat and they go down immediately. They are long range performance calibers. You want a Corvette, buy the 300 Win or 7mm Rem. You want a top fuel dragster go with the RUM. Very expensive to shoot. Would not recommend unless you reload.

  • ultra mags are the bomb 7mm or 300mag theres the video winger

  • @514mach1 I like the way you think.

  • cacciatori di merda...hunter fuck.....

  • If you will dispute the .338 Lapua vs a .300 Rem Ultra or Winchester. Think of this.

20 rd of .338 direct from supplier = $100+ (not custom loads either)

20 rd of .300 Rem or Win direct from supplier = Less than $50

.50 cal is cheaper...Less accurate generally. Plus...ITS .50 CAL...there is a reason why most people dont go above .50...ITS FRIGGIN AWESOME.

but .50 not best hunting choice. A coworker hit a squirrel at 100 yds...we couldn't find it. Grass around him got a nice paint job

  • has anyone used both the .330 rem ultra mag and the .300 win mag? Is the remington ammo worth it? or should i just stick with the winchester?

  • The thing is, you don't even need the power level 3 for anything but super long range, and compared to alot of other long range rifles it isn't efficient. Because of that you might as well get a .300 win mag and save yourself money on the "fancy power level ammo"

  • Man nothing really has a chance now do they.

  • Im needing some help . Im having trouble with my 700 Sendero 300 RUM . My scope isn't staying sighted in . I will get it sighted in with the power lvl 3 ammo shooting a 1 in group of 3 at 100 yrds . Im using a Leupold rings and base that have been lapped . After sighting in it takes about 15 shots and it will have a 4 inch drop . Im assuming recoil is the problem but i could be wrong . Can someone help me out ?

  • sounds like your rings or bases aren't tight enough and its slipping around... You should take it to a trusted gunsmith just to be sure...

What do you think of the Sendero??? I have a friend who is thinking of getting one

  • @djtankadelaide If your friend hasn't already bought one.. In my opinion its the best rifle money can buy.. Beavertail Grip, Reinforced Stock, Stainless fluted barrel .. And the weight adds precision and reduces recoil, not to mention its a pretty good looking gun .. Best weapon I ever bought anyway

  • Recoil is probly the problem, make sure you have a good butt plate for shock absorbtion, im gonna asume your holding the rifle right and make sure the scope is mounted right. if it presists take the scope back and ask for a new one

  • @245344 Just a question, no offence intended but why would you bother sighting a 300RUM in at 100 yards?

  • @ChrisDog000 i know this comment is a little late but that is a damn! good point.

  • On the Remington web site, it shows the equivalent for the .300RUM. But what about the equivalent for the 7mmRUM?

  • those guns have so much recoil there not to accurate

  • Wrong.

  • Recoil has nothing at all to do with accuracy.Rate of fire with consistency yes.

  • Your the reason for inaccuracy, not the gun.

  • It sounds like the testing he's doing is on a bench.. in which case, any variance wouldn't (shouldn't) be human. The scope might be a lemon.

  • Cant wait to get my 700 XHR!

  • what the fuck?

  • Dang i have to get one of those

  • My friend showed me his Remington 300 Ultra Mag and it was Beautiful, but the round is HUGE! I would say a good 3 inches! He said Elephant round! I want one!

  • I was going to get one but i decided to go all out and got a remmington model 700 in .338 Lapua Magnum

  • I assuming that is more powerful, right?

    If so I'm jealious :P

Which is the Remington that the USMC Use? the Civilain M24?

  • The .338 Lapua has about 220 ft/sec and 600ft-lb more power at the muzzle, both with a 200gr projectile... and 6" less drop at 500yds

Not sure what the USMC use... I live in Australia

  • USMC uses .308 in the M40A3 which is still the rem 700 reciever usually with a macmillian stock.

The Army uses the M-24 again still in .308 richly based off the actual Remington 700

But the Navy Seals do use a .338 Lap Mag designated the MK 13...its a modified version of the Accuracy International Super mag.

Right now the army is using .50 BMG for long distance..but they are leaning towards .338. A .50 cal is a little to much for anti-personnel. Plus .50 not that accurate when compared.

  • the remmington model 700 firing 308 win or 300 mag is the shorter range of the three

they also use the 338 laupa round for anything out father than 600, 700 meters where the 300 or 308 is where it has its accuracy max at approx 700 meters

the 338 laupa has an effective range of 1200 meters

  • I ended up getting the 338 lapua just for that reason...

  • Did he say ELEPHANT ROUND!!!?? than he is craaazzzyyyy in some countires in africa it's illegal to go elephant hunting with anything less than .375. A .300 RUM is not a elephant round for sure. .338 lapua is amazing

  • lol
