He seems like a really down to earth guy...dont know why people make fun of him, just jeleous i guess. Hes nice to his fans unlike so many other celebs.
God those photographers are fucking annoying. I know it's their job but god....shut the fuck up.
I've been to the Toronto Film Festival and I've seen these people outside of hotels and when the actors come out...all they do is yell..."Can we get a smile?.....Please can you smile for me......Can you turn this way.....Can you fix your hair......."
hahahahaa....I'm in the entertainment business and I know EXACTLY what you mean...having a nice conversation going through the lobby and then BAMM!..............
Tom is a cut above most male celebrities. He actually spends time with his fans and appreciates them because he knows they keep him where he's at. Unlike many other male celebs who get that false ego from being a "celeb", Tom is a sweetheart.
@JumpStreet1983 Right on. I've read so much about him, and seen so many videos of him, being genuinely kind to his fans. He literally interrupts his own life and schedule just for their sake, wherever he encounters them. Always ready with a smile and always ready to sign a photo and more than willing to chat with people. Whatever you think of his sometimes-weird antics, most celebrities (and people in general) could take a lesson from him on how to behave.
This guy may seem kinda cuckoo at times, but he has something a lot of these younger actors don't- appreciation and dedication to giving some time to his fans. He's always spends hours signing autographs before his premieres and other appearences. That's pretty admirable. :)
@Traxian2009 Very true! I'd put him and Jimmy Stewart as the friendliest and genuinely nicest A-List actors. Outside of the MI:3 premier, I believe it was, he spent 2 hours talking with fans and signing photos. One teenage girl said her mom had been a fan her whole life but couldn't make it to the premier. So Tom asks for the girl's cell phone, calls her mom, and chats with her for over ten minutes, right there. I couldn't believe it, but it was in a Time Magazine article about him. Nice man.
if i was a celebrity ,i would ask the the fans to answer a trivia question about me ....that way i knew i would be giving a true fan and autograph

Tom is one of the VERY few celebs who makes sure that every fan gets an autograph or photo. Its the Scientology thing - Karma and all that.

I would hate to be a celebrity. People crawling all over you, weeping your name like you owe them something.

What did Tom Cruise mean when he said, "If it gets wet, it just stops. Try to keep it dry."

I totally agree with you, Traxian! He spends hours and hours on red carpets to chat with fans and making pictures together.
While most actors arrive too late at the premiere....he gets way too early. He's great for his fans!
