keep a wide line in the 1st place then if it tightens up you'll see it in good time. then just push inside bar forwards a little and really really dig your inside knee in and physically hold the bike with your arms. this 'bracing' will stop you sliding off the edge of the rear tyre!
I did laps of islands trying to get my knee down for the first time.A more experienced mate sed "follow me,match my line & speed & u'l do it". 5 mins later i touched down! :D
Just needed to hang off a bit less & go 5mph faster so i could lean the bike a bit more. it's not about hangin off as far as you can. shuffle your ass about an cheek over, stick knee out & then it's all about speed, lean and smooth throttle - a touch of acceleration sits the back down nice & makes the bike more stable

You give us a bad name. Take it to a trackday with a proper runoff, no rails and no public traffic. Your lines, braking and turn in looks squidly-diddly. I can drag a knee at 21 mph - big deal. What mental trauma will you inflict on some innocent after you low side under their SUV. It costs all of about $150/day to ride as fast as you can go on a clean, closed track and get some coaching and EMS backup. See you under my Suburban.
You give 'us' a bad name. They're on a good piece of road and mostof them aren't going outside of their lane. Most of these guys KNOW how to ride so give them a break bro.
No bro, they are just squids on a public roads hugging the center line when they could be at Willow Springs or Laguna where the big boys play. California's public roads are not the Isle of Mann. Idiots like these drive up motorcycle insurance rates and get dumb laws passed that mess up the whole country's ride. Guys like this get Law Enforcement up everyone's ass for being 10 over. If you want to drag a knee, back it in, spin it up on exit, and get your speed buzz on, it should be at the track.
Agreed, but these guys (imo) haven't done anything overtly dangerous. If you check out lifesuxdie's other videos you can see he does many track sessions and is a very good rider, not sure about his buds as i cannot speak on their behalf, but i'm sure many of them do as well.
but as for insurance rates, idk what the problem is. i'm 17 and just passed my full licence, bought a kwak z750 and insured for a year for £530 (I think it's like $700 or so), a car would be at least 3 times as much :X
This is dumb. Try getting some lean angles going before you hang off the bike and get your knee down. Dragging knee is a strategy for the track, not a trick for silly squids to practice over and over and over and over and over again.
