I'm glad Sam Raimi didn't fall into the hands of hollywood and make the ending with Peter kissing MJ. Because he's a true fan of the comic. If MJ and Peter kissed at that scene, that would've killed the theme of "friendship" that Harry and Peter had together. And it would make Peter look like a douche.
Have you guys watched spiderman tech on discovery channel? its up on youtube. basically what it says is that everything spiderman does is physically possible, and it could happen(not in the same way, but it could happen). its actually really cool.
Now a days I find it hard to find a good movie that brings out the excellence of the comic book world, but this movie really was able to do that. The third movie was a little broken up and could have been better, but this series really brought out all that Spider-Man stood for. =D
I may not remember, but earlier before this scene, when Peter (Spidey) saved MJ from thugs, they both kissed. Then, right before this clip, they kissed again. She noticed the kiss was exactly how Spider-Man kissed her. She realized that Peter had to do something with the creation of Spider-Man so sudden. And in the 2nd movie, she told Peter "I always knew it was you who was Spider-Man. From the day you kissed me." if I'm correct.
Peter Parker: Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words: "With great power comes great responsibility." This is my gift, my curse. Who am I? I'm Spider-man.
Every tim ei see this movie.. and it gets to one of the parts with the tin towers.. i laugh.. because if he would been swinging on that when 9/11 happened.. he would be a squished spidey Dx
@utd009 remember to me the 3rd film was not a Sam Raimi film its was more of a studio film trying to cram as much as possible, yes he did write the script, but he even said so himself that that he did not want Venom but he was forced by his producer to include him. Sam Raimi is a start director when he knows when something is going to work. So I blame the producers and the studio for not letting him have total control if he did I bet you spiderman 3 would have be a great movie
@acleansheet I'm not gonna lie, the first one was impeccably amazing. There was so much emotion and it broke new ground by being so inspiring. But I honestly think Spider-Man 2 was better. This series will NEVER be forgotten and has made Spider-Man the greatest superhero ever because he stands for something deeper than your average superhero. He's a symbol of courage and honor, a symbol of responsibility to always do the right thing. The reboot will hopefully remember that.
