I will ONLY own japanese motorcycles because I see them as a superior product, however, I don't feel that way about cars though. Japanese bikes ZX14, busa, gsxr1000, cbr100rr are unmatched except by the ducati 1098r. so they practically dominate all. But with cars there's no japanese domination. VW dominates sales, USA and europe dominate racing mostly(few jap supercars).

I've ridden in a 2008 corvette and I don't see this shitty quality you're talking about. I found the car to be quite nice. The leather seems top notch for an American car. The interior design isn't too flamboyant, but it's not a maserati and it's not supposed to be, That's what keeps the cost down, The cheap fiberglass, coupled with alluminum and carbon fiber parts aren't meant to make for a ridgid car, they are for low weight/cost. I'm not trying to sell corvettes I'm just saying.

Z06's are 70k first of all, second the corvette is anything but cheap, a leather dash does not make or break a sports car. lastly, that GTR made several trips and several hundreds of laps to get that close to the ZR1, if the corvette team were to go back and do more testing and laps such as the GTR did it would increase its time substantially and more than likely pass the Enzo on the list, but passing the Viper ACR would still be doubtful in my eyes.

i just sold my 2000 hayabusa w/ mild mods 171 rwhp when i purchased my Z06... the only reason i bought suzuki is because they were majority owned by GM and due to the fact that there simply is not an american superbike offered, though i think it would be a good entry to add some diversity... oh and dont forget the new ducati 1198, more power/Tq than the 1098 you mentioned and suspension upgrades, though im not much for V-Twins in superbikes

Crank up the power and what happens then? also, fiddle with anything under the hood and little blackbox buddy tells your nice service technician what's going on. I'm pretty sure the engine is quite rung out already, opposed to the ZR1. With intake, tuned length headers, full exhaust, a smaller pulley, alluminum radiator, 3:90 gears, and a competent dyno tune the ZR1 would likely be hovering around 900hp. And that's only a few grand worth of parts incase you import guys didn't know.

and let's talk about reliability. The GTR's transmission has been known to fail at stock power levels. Many times they have been grenaded when being launched several times in launch mode. You know the car has a blackbox in it to tell the dealer that you've put it in it's most aggressive race setting and launched it, causing you to lose your warranty when you get it serviced or try to get it repaired. The ZR1 is built to be driven to it's limits, plain and simple, on more than one occasion.

in 2003 the Z06 retailed for 52,000 dollars thats more than my 2003 Suburban Z71 fully loaded was. Why would you compare it to the cost of a Ferrari? in 2003 the Ferrari in the Z06s class was the 360 Modena which it handly outperforms... over half a second quicker to 60, faster 1/4mile, faster around the track. BUT you get a nice leather dash in the ferrari so that definitely makes it totally worth the extra 150,000 dollars right?

Car mods are bolt ons, that actually are sitting in the barn at the moment because they all go at the same time to prevent the need to be re-tuned on the dyno, i expect around 480 rwhp. car goes to livernois or vortec for tuning in april. any more questions??

its actually a 5.7L and the reasoning behind that is because americans use pushrod V8's which peak at a much lower RPM so u must use a higher displacement... foreign vehicles are usually a dual overhead cam which allows for a much greater RPN speed, so you use a lower displacement and just spin it faster. you clearly know nothing about cars

If I were about to spend upward of a hundred grand on a factory car to race it at a track. It would be the ZR1 hands down, you'd have to be a fucking IDIOT to buy anything else. You can replace the entire drivetrain for 20 grand if you needed to. It costs 10 grand just to service the other cars in it's class. It's just like a Honda, servicing and operating costs are next to nothing for several years, even a decade if it's not abused. it'd be thousands a year to maintain these other cars.

Cool, then buy the GTR man. There's always gonna be some guy that buys a car and it breaks down from day one. I'll admit no car is 100% because all of them are man made. put the Turbo Kit (SSP) and the HKS GT570 kit on the R35 and you'll dismantle the Z06 Vette...especially in the rain to..? forgett about it, leave the rain and snow to the GTR and put the plastic Vette in the garage.
