If Odom stays in L.A. he is coming off of the bench. I'm pretty sure that he would much rather start games. In Miami he's way more likely to start, since Beasley has difficulty with the SF position. As a Heat fan, I would love to see Odom come to Miami, although I would much rather see the Heat grab a veteran PG, keep Dorell or Beasley as the starting SF, and take Mario off the bench.. unless they actually planned to start Odom at the point (which would create major match up problems).

I'm just saying that most players enjoy more playing time, regardless of a guaranteed championship. With most teams in the league, Lamar is a second or third option, while in L.A. he is a fourth or fifth (behind Kobe, Gasol, Artest, and even Bynum). With the Lakers, his role is a versatile player off the bench that can fill in for almost anybody, while in Miami he is guaranteed to start and have the ball in his hands more often.

Either way, I'm happy if Odom decides to stay in L.A.

well since the lakers retracted they're offer, which was above market value to begin with, and odom REJECTED IT! not only that, odom and his agent angered lakers owner jerry buss for not responding to their offers, meanwhile negotiating with dallas and miami at the same time, so as of now there is no laker offer to odom. and if buss forgives odom for his bullshit, odom will have to settle for $7-$8 million per year. instead of the $9-$10 million he would've made had he accepted the lakers offer.
