Wow. I've been aware of Maddy Prior's and June Tabor's music for many years - individually - but never together. Definitely (even) greater than the sum of their parts.. !
@Clothosx :-) in a similair vein is 'the wizard's well' a great sounding ambient and mysterious piece of music, sung in Breton by Annie Ebrel, which also features Dan Ar Braz on guitar as does the silly sisters album: watch?v=OBo6fYT0ad8
The first verse of this is the beginning of Ewan McColl's fabulous 'Bringing the Summer Home'. Wonderful! Has anyone got the Silly Sisters singing 'The devil and bailiff McGlynn'? I can't find it anywhere and I know they recorded it.
Oops! Now that I´m seeing the video I note that some images are wrong. They report the victory of the portuguese army in a war with Castile. The battle was called «Aljubarrota» and happend in 1385, 14 th August, and the portugues had a big help from the english, at that time big portuguese friends, or better, big castilian enemies.Anyway, good video.

This is real music:quality, lyrically, composition, meaning, instrumentally, etc. Thank you "Sily sisters" for making seriously beautiful music.

While I enjoy this a lot I prefer The Young Tradition's rendition. But its all opinion, and a great rendition none the less.
