  • i am currently relaxed i want to texlax so i bought a texturizer softener is it bad to use a texturizer when you already have relaxed hair

    please reply

    ~aja

  • you sound bahamian ....am i right?

  • You are truly and honestly the best person on YouTube to ask for relaxed hair advice on. I don't know anyone else on YouTube that is like you and is independent with their decisions.

Thank you, you have helped me alot! :)

    ♥♥♥

  • Thank you for sharing! I am going to start texlaxing...I do not care for the bone straight relaxer either. ...and my scalp has become so sensitive, the Just for Me will be awesome!

  • I LOVE your hair hair!!! I think I'm gonna start texlaxing my hair xx and I'm loving the Caribbean accent xx

  • love your hair...how often do you texlax?

  • can you share your hair regimen that got your hair that way please?

  • @Hairmommy1 nope the purpose of texlaxing is to leave some texture in the hair combing the relaxer thru would make it too straight :)

  • what kind of perm do u use?..do u oil ur scalp before u relax ur hair?

  • @keedaomen just for me texture softener

  • So when you texlax there is no need to comb the relaxer through like you would do when you relax your hair bone straight?

  • Fantastic video. I sooo get it. I see why my ends are damaged and I know my growth will be rapid using this technique. Looking forward to replenishing and logging my process. Thanks for sharing!!! Your hair texture and length reminds me so much of my hair when its healthy. I will have to send you a pic....You have really inspired me to get back on point.

  • so what is texlaxn? im so confused

  • how long did it take you to reach your goal?

  • what did you use to texlax with before just for me? Which do you prefer and why? I'm transitioning from relaxed to texlaxed and am trying to get some opinions

  • Can I texlax my hair with this product if I'm already relaxed

  • Hey I was wondering, if I am relaxed will switching over to a texture softner will it do more harm than good. Basically is it a good idea to stop relaxing and use a texture softner?

  • @dawrld4rmmeyes yes it is milder and easier on the hair. Also you can rock the curls and the straight look. I love it! Because I used to hate not being about to wear my hair curly sometimes you know? But yes its still a relaxer (meaning its chemically changing your hair) but its less harsh.

  • what's the name of the song at the begining ??

  • Luv your video, i did a Texlax(just for me Texturizer) it came out wonderful!!

  • reallly long, but very informative :)

  • im sooooo nervous to do a relaxer myself!

  • thank you for that information. I have been transitioning for four months now and i already have two to three inches of new growth. I saw the results when i texlaxed my hair. Also i wanted to know how often are you suppose to texlax your hair.

  • Sorry but I'm a bit confused. In one of your responses on here you said that this was your first texlax & in your FAQ you say that you are texlaxed. Exactly how long have you been texlaxed? From the beginning of your journey or from the time the video went up? Thanks girl! <3

  • @naeluvsGCH i became texlax on the 31 of december 2011 and am sorry for the confusion i should update that properly

  • @shorty2sweet59 I think u made a typo on the date :)

  • @jasmine2g3 I think she meant Dec 2010 took me awhile to figure that 1out too lol ;)

  • I Love This Video And Your Hair Is Beyond Gorgeous! I've Been Natural For 1 Year Now, But Seeing Your Hair And It's So Healthy, It Makes Me Want To Texlax. Great Video, Very Professional! (:

  • @jft72202 aww thanks hun.

  • do you usually rinse your hair in the shower or in the kitchen sink?

  • @avastacia always in the shower

  • @shorty2sweet59 my biggest fear is that some of the relaxer drips into my ears as i'm rinsing it out. should i cover my ears with something?

  • @shorty2sweet59 can i straighten my texlaxed hair with a curling iron........i don't have a flat iron???

  • @shorty2sweet59 just wanna ask where u from, im getting a hint of caribbean

  • What are your reasons for using the texturizer. What is the purpose? Does it make it easier to comb your hair while you are stretching?

  • @princessfalon1 a texturizer is similar too a relaxer but the different is it helps loosen the hair pattern and not get it completely straight. So u can keep ur hairs natural texture and still have some what of a straight relax look.

  • dhoes texturizer have chemicals ?

  • Did you use both boxes because I'm 10 months post and my hair is bsl and I want to make sure I buy enough...how was this product for you will you use it again?..love your videos :-)

  • @MissLov3ly1 yes i did use both boxes and i surely would recommend this and i do plan on using it again.

  • How long have u been using a texlax?

  • @sexysammy01 this was my first time using it.

  • Was That Your First Time Using The Texture Softener?

  • @DillysTime yes it was and i have too say the results are great.

  • where are you from ? I hear a lil caribbean twang in there

  • @Alishachiquita am from guyana

  • @shorty2sweet59 Cool i'm from Antigua

  • I truly enjoyed your video. I am considering doing a texlax. I have been natural for nine months now and I love my curls, however, sometimes my hair is so tight (I am a 4a/4b) so it is difficult to see my growth. I will wait until July 17 to make the decision as it is my one year anniversary. Again, I really love this and appreciate you taking the time to explain everything. This is one of the most professional videos I have seen on You Tube for texlax hair. Love it! God bless you!

  • @JayeJaye714 thanks so so much hun for the love and the appreciation.

  • @shorty2sweet59 You are so welcome!

  • 3 people are bald...

  • @lush4real hahah lol thanks hun.

  • @lush4real lol.

  • I can really see the texture in your hair from previous texlax :) great job

  • @ladyen7 thanks hun.

  • What kind of relaxer did you use before this texture softerner?

  • @ladyen7 i used elasta qp regular no base relaxer.

  • i luv ur videos ur very detailed and your methods are amazing! HHG :)

  • @SingingQueenify thanks hun.

  • i have relaxed hair but wanna texlax... do i apply all over my hair... or just the new growth?

  • @BlessedBeauty88 just your newgrowth.

  • Thanks for the video, I was looking everywhere for a good texlax video! But i had a question. so the texture softner is just like a relaxer and just as strong? Whats the difference between texlax and relax?

  • @DeeCheetahGyal the difference is telax allow you too have some natural texture where as a relaxer doesn't.

  • SMILE LADY!!! :) I love your videos! <3

  • @elsheppa336 thanks hun.

  • since the texture softener is a no lye do you use a chelating shampoo to get rid of calcium build up? and if so which one b/c im looking for a good one myself. btw love the videos=]

  • @makeupbydannie i have no idea what that is but i do use a clarifying shampoo too get rid of product build up.

  • If aint broke, don't go natural. You know how to take care of your hair and if you keep doing it, then it will not be messed up. But if you go to salon, they might mess it and that way you might consider going natural. Am natural and its atough trip. Keep doing what you're doing!!

  • @matawa08 thanks hun for the advice and i total agree with everything you said.

  • you hair is so rich, beatiful, long and thick!! ive been following your channel lately and you are my inspiration! i have two questions though. 1. when you started your hair journey did you have to get rid of split ends or cut your hair or anything? and 2. have you always been telaxed or did you start from a relaxer? thank you for posting you vidoes your doing a great job!! ~Syetta

  • @iSySy0645 thanks hun for the support too my channel and too answer your first question i went and got my hair freshly cut before i started my hair journey.too answer the second one i started with relaxed hair then stretch my relaxer out and moved on too texlaxing.

  • I thought I was weird for using the jelly on my ends before I perm my hair...Im happy to see that someone else uses it too

  • hi i am thinking about texlaxing my hair for the first timeand i want to use to just for me that you used i have a question do you smooth your hair at the end or do you just wash it out? also when you say your hair reverts does it turn back natural?? or is it still texlaxed but curly?? i dnt get what you mean

  • @Younggurlmajic Honestly it says on the box no too smooth it out and i didn't do that either.Because i wanted the curl texture.also when i say it reverts back i mean you natural hair texture comes back within in 6 weeks.AKA the new-growth gets curly again.

  • i just love love love you accent!

  • @IMANIAWESOME thanks hun.

  • Hi! the description on the "just for me texturizer" box says it lasts only for 12 weeks. has your hair started reverting back to it's natural state? i really want to try it. Please let me know. thanks :)

  • @Ms1992barbie my hair reverted back within 10 weeks but overall i give the product a 8 out of 10.i love it.

  • @Ms1992barbie

I just want to answer your questions if you do not mind. The texturizer is just a mild perm w/ some sunflower oil. You can just get a mild relaxer and put some oil in it(like castor, jojoba, olive oil), you can also put conditioner in it too. The oil or conditioner slows down the process of the relaxer.

Your hair will not revert back to its natural state because it chemically processed your hair, you might gain back some texture but it will not revert back to natural.

  • @miaangel247 I wonder why the package says it lasts only for 12 weeks. oh well...Thank you for the info!!

  • Thanks for sharing this video. I loved it, it was very informative. I just have a question, did you put the DC on top of the Keratine 2 minute reconstructor or did you wash it out then put the DC. Thanks again for sharing your video.

  • @chi4maya2 Ur welcome and yes i washed it on then i went on too do my normal DC

  • How Do You Get Rid Of The Bone Stright Look And Have More Movement In The Hair?

  • @GreenPandaTea i just use less products when i blowout my hair or flatiron also i do my hair in big sections i usually just apply a very tiny amount of oil all over my hair and thats and once am done that i don't moisturize my hair until two days after but too make sure my hair doesn't get dry i would reapply oil but tiny amounts

  • when I quit getting perms, my hair broke off all of the permed hair until i was completely natural. I am now considering a texlax for manageability. You said you may go natural, so my question is, aren't you worried about your hair breaking from the transition, or do you have tips to keep hair from breaking?

  • @BRITTNEYFICATION oh am so sorry too hear what has happened too you.Overall yes i am worried too go natural but at the same time i need too have faith.I just don't know yet if i will or not.Only time will tell.

  • Where did you get your Goodie Relaxer kit? It seems like it has everything you need.

  • @tamoniva12 I bought mines from ebay for like $7.00

  • this is what i use! i love it!

  • @TheIceiing lol it worked great for me.

  • LOVE THIS VIDEO...VERY SIMPLE AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND. GREAT JOB!

  • @cocobrown41 Thanks hun.

  • you hair is stunning i dont know if you have trimmed your ends yet but maybe you should consider it.i love the thickness and softness of it.

  • @Lacehairwigs thanks hun and yes i did trim it but i am guessing the reason it looks like it need another one is because i have some thin ends and i will be trimming my hair often until i get rid of all those thin ends

  • Hey shorty2sweet59, how long did you keep the relaxer on your hair for?

  • @Mslecia27 hey hun i didn't keep it in long when i finish applying tit too my head i went and washed it out right away

  • my bf trims my hair too lol

  • @queenfee lol i am sure he gets nervous i know my boo does

  • i am afraid of getting some of that stuff into my eyes as i wash it out; is it best do do it in the shower, or in the sink?

  • @avastacia if your afraid of it getting in your eyes then i suggest doing it in the sink with someone helping you.I do mines in the shower.

  • I just love your hair so much. It so amazing. I cant wait for my hair to be that length even it might take forever, and cooool I didnt know you love video games me love video games too XD.

  • @deegeboo thanks hun and all the best on ya stretch.

  • @shorty2sweet59 thanks and no prob

  • 1)Does petroleum jelly really protects against overlapping? 2)And what else do you think also is a protective barrier for the hair?

  • @deegeboo yes it does and oils work great too.one that will sit one your hair

  • umm jst curious what does Texlax mean?

  • @curi0us21 A texlax/texturizer is a slightly weaker relaxer. It loosens your curl pattern instead of completely straightening your hair like a relaxer.

  • your hair has grown so beautifully. Thank you for all the great tips.

  • @betbet1220 aww thanks and your very welcome.

  • Congrats on making your goal. Your hair turned out gorgeous. Thanks for the video I know it must be hard, tedious, and time consuming; but believe me when I say I appreciate what you do. I personally don't mind the time, I would rather see details and learn than see a little and be lost. LOL....I went and found the music you used...I just love it. Take care and I look forward to the next video.

  • @anique0320 aww thanks am glad the time didn't bother any one because it was longer than that but i got it cut down lol.

  • Did you "smooth" the relaxer? How long did you leave it in?

  • @MawiyahJ no i didn't i didn't leave it in long as soon as i was done applying my hair in front i went and wash it out.

  • hey just wondering..do you smooth your hair with your hands when the relaxer is in or do you just apply the relaxer leave it in and then wash it out?

  • @ModischFrame nope i don't smooth it i just leave it be and then wash out.
