Why is it that everytime i spot an enemy i do everything you taught me and i still cant catch up to them?!?! I have nothing unlocked for the jet and its extremely hard to get kills with it. Any advice??
this video was mad when everyone was new to bf3 nowadays they dont even let u take off, i am good with tracking and dodging but when i shoot i miss or it doesnt do any damage i guess some hackers always in online game
@1997steveo hey man just keep in mind that as soon as you make your presence known to the enemy pilot, he will attempt to turn away from you or go into a vertical climb. this is when he is most exposed. lead his plane when shooting if he continues banking, don't aim at the middle or back part of the plane or your bullets will go behind him. watch some of the vids from 'irontjunfisk' as his play helped me better understand this concept.
@1997steveo if worst comes to worst, circle the enemy runway and look to blow up the enemy planes before they take off. this may be considered camping and or trolling but it will help you unlock flares and missiles. also, play conquest as both teams will have 2 planes as opposed to 1 in rush. finally, i have nearly 400 kills in jets (i'm not bragging because there are plenty of better pilots out there!) but i still use the main cannon. once you get a feel for it you will be unstoppable.

Or target another jet already damaged... that's how I got my 1st 2 kills that got me the heat seekers. Once those are unlocked, you're golden to lock on noobs like myself that jump in jets going for their 1st kills.

@NinjaKnifes left trigger I think. Make sure afterburners are not on or it is useless. You can bank really fast if you pull the left trigger while turning in a bank... the jet will 'whip' around. Great for quick get aways, combine that with left then right then left banks.
I'm finding it impossible to get any kills what so ever dodging missiles doesn't work and I can't out-manoeuvre the thunderbolt, please can you give me some advise?

@musicplayah In modern air combat, HOBS missiles such as the AIM-9X and AIM-120D are far more effective in a dogfight, unless your target is directly in your 12 at a very close range.
battlefield wins hands down in terms of story mode, but call of duty wins for online in my opinion, just because its so hard to use most of the vehicals. i really tried to like battlefield more than cod, but i cant get one damn kill on it. whereas cod i can go 35-4 most the time.

These videos are shit. I know all this stuff, the only thing I want to know is how to out turn other jets. I know about the 310 speed trick and it works but there is always some guy every once and a while , especially on hardcore rush mode, that owns everybody, and get like 18-0 kills...any help would improve my skills and others
I used to be really bad in the jets when I just started using it.My first kill was a kill that i stole from my friend (the jet was disabled and i came in and finished it off). If you want to be good at flying jets you just practice and learn from your mistakes. Experiment come up with new dogfighting tactics like if your getting chased slow down try to land and when you land the enemy will over shoot because they're too fast then takeoff and shoot the enemy down
I have tried everything you have said in part1 & 2 but it still doesn't work everytime I shoot somebody with the main cannon/gatling gun I damage them but I don't disable their vehicles. Can you please make a video of how to compensate that problem.thank you for reading and please reply.Thank you.

I have one tip that is crucial for air superiority: Air Radar, it makes the raidious v of your minimap like 3 times as large as it would be and it exposes EVERY vehicle within your minimap making it so you know whitch turn to make next and maintain air superiority (take it from the guy that think's 12-0 in a jet is a mediocre round)
some good tips in your vids for beginners, helped me starting out. going well now taking out ground tgts with easy. good tips for me starting out was the cannon, I was firing WAY too far away. once i gained more flight experiance i had more confidence to go closer to the ground. for dog fights. I can usually throw someone off my tail but there are some people who, no matter how hard i fly, still just turn and hit me. Does anyone have any tips for extremely hard turns to get them infront again?
@adrirar Some people may say i'm quite experienced at flying a jet, Therefore I would be fighting against people at the same expertise, which means they rarely make mistakes, maybe once in 100-200 games.

At 4:26 I can never shoot down planes with a stinger/igla. They always fly too far away or deploy flares even if I bait them, don't fire, re lock on, and then fire they still somehow reload their flares really fast.

I have spent about an hour and a half in jets. I really only started to get points and the latter 20 minutes. I've racked up a few points and have unlocked flares, heat seekers and stealth. Youyr tutorial is very helpful. However it is a complete pain when you come up against much more experienced pilots that have better unlocks.
I have had BF3 since around Christmas time, and I have spent about 30 minutes (in game) in the Jets. I have yet to acquire any points. I don't really crash and burn anymore and I wouldn't say I have mastered flying them, but I am not the worst I have seen. My only question is, is there really any way to get points now that there are so many players? It always seems like there is just one guy acing everyone. I didn't even get off the ground earlier and I had a missile lock at the beginning.
@tinman10104 It all depends on your team. If you're team is good enough they should be able to get laser locks on all the vehicles and shoot them out of the sky. There's really nothing you can do about getting shot on the runway. Just gotta be smarter than the other team.
@dslinfreak Yeah, I guess you are right. Yesterday, I made it a point to try to be in the jet the whole game and I managed to do pretty well, even got some hit markers, but no points. I'll keep at it and hopefully soon I will get that coveted first kill.
Guys remember that: When you are dogfighting with an enemy jet and you are trying to get them of your tail when you start to turn around trun the camera to the inside look and try to maintain your speed to around 280-300 knots. This makes you turn faster in a dogfight and when a jet is near you start making turns and pressing W and S at the same time. The best choices for a jet's items: Air Radar,ECM Jammer,Rocket Pods
@jindos2000 Air Radar,ECM Jammer and Rocket Pods. Tip:Never use flares because when you launch them you don't have much time left up there if they lock at you again and it takes a very pro pilot to evade a heat seeker or a stinger. With ECM Jammer, it provides you a 4 second security and when you activate it it prevents enemies to lock on you and after that you have to wait 6 seconds for it to recharge. Hope i helped
@xHolyHandGrenadex1 Likin' the video man :) The heat seeker tip was pretty nice, also, did you know there's a tiny beeping sound when a missile is in coming? If you manage to flare at that exact time as the mini beep starts the enemy is screwed while reloading and you have all the time in the world to get behind him.
playing games such as ace combat meant iv'e developed a good sense of flying on a controller. expecially since the controls arn't that different. However even an ace like me found some usefull tips here! personally ive never attempted missle pods on an airborne target! Good job!
I personally think the guided missile for the jet is greatly overrated. I didn't like it at all, I like to think it is underpowered. What do you guys think?
can you go more in-depth with the perks (such as stealth, below radar, extinguisher, etc.)? can you compare the pre-updated version of the jets against the back2karkand update? can you go more in-depth with HUD of the jets? can you tell us the difference between the different jets (frogfoot vs hornet vs thunderbolt vs etc.)?

lol who uses flares? just kidding flares are ok if you know theres a lot of people with anti air weapons. i usually go without them so i can use more useful perks, especially now that your vehicle doesn't get disabled until its below 35 or something like that. this means that stingers wont disable in one hit, and i can avoid the enemy jets well enough to where they cant lock on. this all added up with guided missles and air cannon = easy mode in a jet for me

everytime i play jet, i get shot down by heat seeking missles. and once i was in the air 10 seconds. and saw a enemy jet, then i had 3 seeking missles in my ass. And since flares needs to be unlocked. Makes impossible to kill anything since all enemy jets have heat seeking missles. Mayby it was a lot easier to kill kills on jet when BF3 first did come out, cos not many had the seeking missle things. But now everytime i try to fly jet i get shot down immidently.
@DauntedSet6 When i find my self in a turning dog fight, When your about to turn, Use your brake to slow down for about 2 seconds, then when your turning, hold the gas and you ussualy always outturn your enemy

@adrirar Some people may say i'm quite experienced at flying a jet, Therefore I would be fighting against people at the same expertise, which means they rarely make mistakes, maybe once in 100-200 games.

Very helpful man, i am very grateful for these uploads! I really love flying, and have always been fascinated by it, and when battlefield 3 came out i was extatic that they were including not only helicopters, but jets! But when i actually got into one I was quickly overwhelmed by the way the jet..... functioned like a jet. At 4:26 I can never shoot down planes with a stinger/igla. They always fly too far away or deploy flares even if I bait them, don't fire, re lock on, and then fire they still somehow reload their flares really fast.

I have spent about an hour and a half in jets. I really only started to get points and the latter 20 minutes. I've racked up a few points and have unlocked flares, heat seekers and stealth. Youyr tutorial is very helpful. However it is a complete pain when you come up against much more experienced pilots that have better unlocks.

I have had BF3 since around Christmas time, and I have spent about 30 minutes (in game) in the Jets. I have yet to acquire any points. I don't really crash and burn anymore and I wouldn't say I have mastered flying them, but I am not the worst I have seen. My only question is, is there really any way to get points now that there are so many players? It always seems like there is just one guy acing everyone. I didn't even get off the ground earlier and I had a missile lock at the beginning.

@tinman10104 It all depends on your team. If you're team is good enough they should be able to get laser locks on all the vehicles and shoot them out of the sky. There's really nothing you can do about getting shot on the runway. Just gotta be smarter than the other team.

@dslinfreak Yeah, I guess you are right. Yesterday, I made it a point to try to be in the jet the whole game and I managed to do pretty well, even got some hit markers, but no points. I'll keep at it and hopefully soon I will get that coveted first kill.

Guys remember that: When you are dogfighting with an enemy jet and you are trying to get them of your tail when you start to turn around trun the camera to the inside look and try to maintain your speed to around 280-300 knots. This makes you turn faster in a dogfight and when a jet is near you start making turns and pressing W and S at the same time. The best choices for a jet's items: Air Radar,ECM Jammer,Rocket Pods

@jindos2000 Air Radar,ECM Jammer and Rocket Pods. Tip:Never use flares because when you launch them you don't have much time left up there if they lock at you again and it takes a very pro pilot to evade a heat seeker or a stinger. With ECM Jammer, it provides you a 4 second security and when you activate it it prevents enemies to lock on you and after that you have to wait 6 seconds for it to recharge. Hope i helped

If you manage to flare at that exact time as the mini beep starts the enemy is screwed while reloading and you have all the time in the world to get behind him.

playing games such as ace combat meant iv'e developed a good sense of flying on a controller. expecially since the controls arn't that different. However even an ace like me found some usefull tips here! personally ive never attempted missle pods on an airborne target! Good job!

can you go more in-depth with the perks (such as stealth, below radar, extinguisher, etc.)? can you compare the pre-updated version of the jets against the back2karkand update? can you go more in-depth with HUD of the jets? can you tell us the difference between the different jets (frogfoot vs hornet vs thunderbolt vs etc.)?

lol who uses flares? just kidding flares are ok if you know theres a lot of people with anti air weapons. i usually go without them so i can use more useful perks, especially now that your vehicle doesn't get disabled until its below 35 or something like that. this means that stingers wont disable in one hit, and i can avoid the enemy jets well enough to where they cant lock on. this all added up with guided missles and air cannon = easy mode in a jet for me

everytime i play jet, i get shot down by heat seeking missles. and once i was in the air 10 seconds. and saw a enemy jet, then i had 3 seeking missles in my ass. And since flares needs to be unlocked. Makes impossible to kill anything since all enemy jets have heat seeking missles. Mayby it was a lot easier to kill kills on jet when BF3 first did come out, cos not many had the seeking missle things. But now everytime i try to fly jet i get shot down immidently.

@DauntedSet6 When i find my self in a turning dog fight, When your about to turn, Use your brake to slow down for about 2 seconds, then when your turning, hold the gas and you ussualy always outturn your enemy
