i really hate how they made the demo look so much better then the real game, don't get me wrong its a great game but it would have been so much better if they would have just felt it more like the demo

@BlockisticStudios well they also cut out at least two stages. more parts in cell stage in this one. they cut out blood which is a weak argument i guess but it was nice. they cut out the flora editor and i think there was a planet editor too. the animation and physics were alot better. more choices in all aspects of the creature creator and im sure theres a bunch more im missing. i agree that looks shouldnt be everything but theres alot more than looks that make this better.

Nonono, you see, they wanted to create a strong game with concepts that blend together. They've achieved that. Spore is a very unified game. That's a good thing.
Watching videos of early Spore is showing me that there were pretty much the same amount of parts for creators that still exist; they've just made them more approachable to the younger audience
which shouldn't be a problem because its still easy to make something 'scary', if you want.
Show me what more parts these are and tell me how many in specificity more there were compared to now or I will not take this assumption seriously. Also, are you sure the textures weren't just replaced?

If your feeling uneasy about Spore, then BUY IT! The community comprises of about a million active users and I spend more time creating and sharing with them than playing the game at the moment. Make sure you buy the expansion- that will bring you back to the game (Search Spore: Galactic Adventures)
my wife loves it. she has been playing it everyday for a couple of months now. you can create creatures over and over and new solar systems. the game is forever changing. you could go from begginning to end in one day if you only made one creature and did not explore hardly any of the solar system you originated in. if you dont like the game just say so but you dont need to belittle it. i think its pretty cool that technology has come this far and it shows us that there is so much left we can do

well, it was better when you had to consider the animals survivability. eg having one leg will be a disadvantage against having four. Now you only get your creature a good mouth and itll be on the top of the food chain any way /:

Just from running some mental math, it would be literally impossible to finish it in under a half hour. And you would have to be completely ignoring the fun side of the game in favor of advancing to get close to that.
they need to add multi player to spore, just a skirmish where you can be a cell and play with other players doing the same thing you would do alone with a computer, same goes for all of the stages, you can only interact with another game if your at a certain stage. like, creature stage cannot interact with space stage, this would be alot of fun.
argh the version hes playing is different from the one we play. He can see other planets better in that version but in ours we can only see the light from the sun hitting one side and meteors passing by.

First of all it is impossible for other player to do so because they aren't playing the same game. Your computer is suppling thier creations, and YOUR COMPUTER is doing that stuff. The main problem with spore is that it's completely and utterly gay.
It's as if it was designed for six-year-olds. Which is just fine, there's nothing wrong with that, but don't go to TED and talk it up like it's the second coming of SimLife. Don't go to bleeding NASA with the damn thing.

I only just got it and want to revise my original comment, I think it should be more fluent, I stll hold that hard mode is not hard enough, that doesn't mean make it impossible. I just think that It should flow better than : you are a cell, you are a animal, you are a tribe, you rule the world but don't agree with your fellow (in my case it is dragons), you can go into space, and the centre of the galaxy was a disappointment

There were reasons for the things they removed.
First of all, the 'aquatic' stage and floral editor was horrendously glitchy. They said that we shouldn't doubt an aquatic or floral expansion pack.
The cell stage was intended to be simple. All those extra parts would screw with the gameplay when cells get to the creature stage.
"The animation and phsyics were a lot better".
Explain. Give reasons. Don't make it look like you pulled what you said out of a hat.

I think SPORE would have been better if they didnt made it as cute as it is now. Evolution is serious, war is serious, and thats much whats the game about. but maxis btw. EA made it too cute... SPORE is a great game i play it 4 days every week but i'd like them to make a "serious spore"

Wow, I always thought i was alone in this set of thinking! I completely agree!!! It's like SPORE went from being this huge-massively impressive game-within-a-game-within-a-game and had to dumb/cute it down so it would appeal to more people...horrible descision. Next thing you know...there is going to be a saturday morning cartoon of SPORE, we can only hope against it.

yea and theres nukes plus u can fly a UFO and do abductions. if nukes are too tame for your liking u can just up the whole freekin planet but it takes some work to get those kind of weapons

I wish they had this version still, but the problem is, that it is less user friendly. Just like in real life, in this version the stars are spaced out and you know, harder to play.

Toobad the space level is pretty lame. Every fucking alien civilization asks for your help and then they start complaining when you're areas away. So the more alliances you make, the more they start bitching and blaming you. It gets very tedious. You feel like you're the only damn person that does anything.

how about after you kill the grox steve tells you you defeated the owners of this universe and you can do whatever you want in it, ie all abilities are infinate, then h says if you get bored you can always explore someone else's universe, then there are3 universes, 1 is owned by steve, 1 is owned by grox, and one is owned by HUMANS, there could also be more universes further away which is other player's universe, not the same universe they are in but a copy.

First of all it is impossible for other player to do so because they aren't playing the same game. Your computer is suppling thier creations, and YOUR COMPUTER is doing that stuff. Maybe you should quit complaining and get an easier game, which you should take as an insult because as other have said before me: Spore was really dumbed down for all the toddelers and seniors that would play it.[btw sorry for sterotyping anybody. I know some people that age are very intellegent. ;)]

The main problem with spore is that it's completely and utterly gay.
It's as if it was designed for six-year-olds. Which is just fine, there's nothing wrong with that, but don't go to TED and talk it up like it's the second coming of SimLife. Don't go to bleeding NASA with the damn thing.
What a pig in a poke that game was. I will never, ever buy another EA title. EA hasn't released a good game for years.

I only just got it and want to revise my original comment, I think it should be more fluent, I stll hold that hard mode is not hard enough, that doesn't mean make it impossible. I just think that It should flow better than : you are a cell, you are a animal, you are a tribe, you rule the world but don't agree with your fellow (in my case it is dragons), you can go into space, and the centre of the galaxy was a disappointment
