1. You couldnt of known he was speeding, you were a mile behind him. 2. You had no clue where he was going and I highly doubt it was the mall since on duty, uniformed troopers go shopping in the middle of their shift. 3. Your concerned with a trained trooper speeding, while your driving 80 mph holding a video camera. Your so concerned with the trooper breaking the law while your breaking the law yourself... Get a life!
How do you know he wasnt hurrying to get to a call but then got cancelled. A lot of police speed to calls and dont use their lights cause IDIOTS do stupid stuff like stopping in the middle of the road, cutting police off etc....when they see the lights. It's easier just to drive without them.
Just saw a cop let another cop going after doing 120mph. Must be nice. I just paid $250 and did a 4 hour defensive driving course for doing 80 in a 65. BTW my driving record was clean up until that point. Brotherly love?
You obviously have nothing better to do? You cant prove he was speeding or if he was trying to catch up to a speeder. But you did video tape yourself commiting a crime. Way to go Captain Catch'em!
@ellejw2 Chasing a speeder, then sitting at a stop light? Chasing a speeder without lights? I can't prove he was speeding? I was pacing him, it's a legally allowable form of evidence.
i'd say the danderous one is the idiot filming and driving, and if he was breaking the law, which is still in question since they can speed even without lights or siren under certain cases (g.s. 20-141) the law being broken filming and driving is an even more serious one.
@jimme836 Ha. I love how the general statute that you quote fails to mention anything about it being legal for law enforcement to speed without lights or siren. You might want to re-read that G.S.
What a tool! You have no idea what the Trooper was going to as you turned right. There are plenty of reasons to not run code and calls get cancelled or picked up by someone else. Get a life!
Here is whats so funny about this whole video, the man driving the orange r/t charger (you know the daytona addition they came out with that had black stripes, spoiler, and trunk) wants to stay annonymous ha..well that failed...secondly the title states that this trooper was going to the mall, and its a nice try to attempt to discredit the trooper however if you were an honest person you would have told the rest of youtube that he was actually going away from the mall by going left at the light.
@1have5bmws Actually, I said he "exited" at the mall. I never said he was going to the mall. Thanks for trying to put words in my mouth. I also never said I was trying to be anonymous. Also, I'm driving a TorRed Daytona Charger, not the orange GoManGo. Super internet detectiving thought. Your mom would be proud.

Maybe one day you will come to respect the ones that put their lives on the line to protect and serve the citizens of North Carolina. Everytime I see that grey n' black, chills run down my spine and I know that the man or woman in that car is ultimately on my side.
@jtsou I guess you ignore all the times those people break the law. They are just better than us, right? Here's a thought, if they weren't breaking the law, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
@bendoverman1981 Damnit I don't care what a trooper does hes trained SOO much more than general population. I hope that he doesnt speed to help you when your getting robbed.
@myover10018account Wishing harm to come to me or my family because I filmed a police officer possibly breaking the law doesn't seem like a fair trade.
It's called pacing. Actually, I'm quiet happy with my current job.
I paced him to gather evidence via video that this state trooper was driving 20 mph over the speed limit with no lights or siren. I understand sometimes police respond to calls this way, but when he patiently waited his turn at a stop light, I knew he was just in a hurry to get somewhere, not responding to a call.
@zlee415 I'm making their lives harder by doing what exactly? I'm simply turned on my video camera. The cop is the one that chose to speed. Nobody forced them to break the law while driving a police cruiser.
Don't break the law, and pricks like me won't video tape it.
@bendoverman1981 Hey dumbass, you know why you can't go turn this in as evidence to the local State Troopers Office? Because you just video taped yourself breaking the law! This is what I hate about you civilian "Jimmy Justice" types! Good luck getting off with a warning on that one!
@gtasalova6969 I send these videos to police chiefs all the time. Usually they reply and thank me. Of course, I send them from my fake gmail account which also happens to be the same as my fake youtube account. I would accept a speeding ticket if it was needed to also punish a police officer for speeding to get a burger.
@bendoverman1981 So an officer breaking the law justifies you breaking the law to fallow him? I myself am a police officer. There are many times when I speed with no lights or sirens on. You must remember a Trooper doesn't have a jurisdiction, they may have a specified area to patrol but they are active officers all over the state. Plus there are many calls that we can't use our lights or sirens to respond to but we still feel there is a bit of urgency to get there in a timely manor.
@gtasalova6969 I'm going to miss my morning coffee, and I deem that urgent, can I speed too? Thanks for playing, but a cop isn't anything other than a person that says they can make better high speed driving decisions than the average person. Unfortunately, it's been shown enough times on the news, that cops can't make better decisions at high speeds than the average person.
@gtasalova6969 Ha, man I love this. I show you a civilian, that happens to work as a police officer, breaking the law, and you start calling me names and throwing a fit like my 4 year old. Perfect example of what it takes to be a cop.
@bendoverman1981 Calling you names? You mean calling you a name. By the way I think I justified my reason for calling you a dumbass. You are ranting about Officers breaking the law and yet you are doing it yourself. That, by definition, is a hypocrite. Oh and apparently you do find missing your morning coffee a reason to speed. How can you expect others to stop breaking the law when you do it yourself. What is your justification for speeding.
@gtasalova6969 Me "speeding" is called pacing in the police world. If I am guilty of speeding to prove an officer is abusing their powers, then what is it called when an officer goes faster than the speed limit while not responding to a call?
I've been to court twice for traffic violations, both times I proved the officer was simply abusing their powers, and the ticket was thrown out. See a trend here?
I think we should have tracking on all police cars to prove they were speeding at randomly
@bendoverman1981 I myself will admit, him speeding is also breaking the law. I won't be the first cop to tell you that us officers also receive speeding tickets. I have given people tickets just for not using a turn signal, thats the nice thing about being a non crown vic traffic officer. If you piss a cop off enough they can find a reason to write you a ticket. That's not abusing their powers, just fallowing the law.
@gtasalova6969 How can anyone with an ounce of sense, believe that "If you piss a cop off enough they can find a reason to write you a ticket" is something to be proud of. The fact that you are proud that officers can make up arrests makes me sick. You're a prototypical example of why people dislike law enforcement.
I've pissed off cops enough for them to make up tickets twice. Both times the judge threw them out and reprimanded the officer. I hope you're the next to write me a ticket.
@bendoverman1981 How can you be proud of breaking the law and then getting away with it. If you changes lanes with out a turn signal it's illegal. That is a PERFECTLY reasonable ticket to write. I have yet to have a traffic violation thrown out in court. You my friend are a sick human being. You justify your crime by saying you are video taping someone doing a crime. You cut me off, does that mean I am legally justified to tailgate you? No! Come to my city and I'll be sure to write you a ticket.
@zlee415 Well you are the prick in that story! Maybe if cops did'nt abuse of their powers everyday especially concerning speed controls, we would'nt care about it, but as they do not tolerate any deviation from us, why should we tolerate theirs? And take that! haha
@TheJackpotMaster Dumbass, cops tolerate nothing? A cop could pull everyone over for doing 1MPH over the speed limit, but they don't. They could pull you over for 2MPH over, they don't. Most cops give a 10MPH leeway to every civilian driver on the road. I was pulled over for doing 72 in a 55 zone, but I got no ticket. I was written a warning, because the cop was TOLERATE, and didn't want to ruin my day. (sadly i was ticketed 2 days later for doing 78 about 1 mile from the previous area) suckit
@bendoverman1981 Hi how's it going just wanted to know the song in your video, sounds cool ^^! By the way I support you for doing this: that's a fair job!!
Everyday they do this! We were in a construction zone and a trooper cut on his lights and siren made it to the other side and cut them off. why they do this?
@zlee415 Wait, so your justification for cops speeding is "that they can". I can as well, doesn't mean it's legal. Cops need to be held to a higher standard than an average citizen. I understand that sometimes they need to speed when responding to calls, but the officers I film aren't responding to calls. I know because I follow them all the way to their destination, or out of their jurisdiction.
Based on your videotaping your speedo, you were going between 80-85mph, so tell us again why you're implying something negative about the cop in the description? I think deep down you're just another cop wannabe--following him and all.
Fact is they do what they want I have seen them speed many times
