Damn.... should've watched more of your videos. That's what I should've done on Indo Submission Grappling 07 - or at least it'll buy me another minute. LOL
how long did it take him? I think BJ Penn and Fowler were pretty close no? I remember going to one of Glover's seminar in Bakersfield. Worth every penny.
bj and mike were older and got their's faster. my point was that jeff was the youngest in age when he got his. he has since been superceded by ricky lundell.
when jeff glover was awarded his BJJ black belt he was the youngest american ever to receive one. there is nothing about BJJ i can teach jeff. however, from him i have learned a lot.
whatever... here is the main point ->> mike whitehead is a seriously skanky dude with a body odour that reflects his 365-24/7 staph infection. jeff --> i am surprised you did not tap being in mike's nether-eye micro-climate!!!!
Just a side note, I hope I'm not coming off as a douche. I enjoy the videos you post and I'm also a huge Jeff Glover fan, but I just don't see it as an escape? I see it as a mistake on the opponents side. Like you said it is grappling at the highest level, I might be missing the subtle nuances of the game.
umm been grappling for awhile now..i saw what jeff was going for, but the other guys elbow is up too far for him to catch anything. Jeff did not catch the arm with the knees in time, and the other guy could have gone for the armbar? I really can't see where the big guy's right leg is? If the bigger guy had hit the armbar and kept his arms close to his body before Jeff's knees came up. He would have got the arm, and Jeff would have not been able to escape or catch him with the counter.
perhaps because jeff would have got one first? watch the escape carefully - jeff is close to catching mike in an armbar. if you cannot see superlative technique in this clip then get your coach to watch it with you to explain what is happening. this is grappling at the highest level.
@MickeyEyez Big/strong guys love kimuras and are usually bad at armbars due to their size. So the big guy was banking on the kimura which is probably his go to move. Plus the bigger the guy is usually translates into slower transitions.

@graciehunter100 my friend, you need to study the half guard a little more closely. jeff treats your leg like a pipe.
