@Hillclimbfans Why would you think a DTM car wouldn't match up to Plasa's BMW. I'm fully aware of what this car is, and how much is involved in building these kind of machines. But if anything, a DTM car has even more technology in its build. Carbon fibre monocoques and inboard F1 style coilover suspension. I doubt there would be much difference around a track or on a hillclimb. And to be honest i think my money would be on a modern DTM car to be quicker.

i don't think, that dtm cars have more technology, slope the dtm builder have to comply strict regulations.

I wasnt doubting the impressiveness of this machine at all, but think that the owner was probably exaggerating its performance compared to a current DTM car. Yes they have to comply to a rulebook, an this doesnt, but the DTM allow the biggest amount of tech in any touring car series. They dont share a single part with their roadgoing brothers. And DTM cars undoubtedly have more technology involved than this car. Thanks

georg was with his old bmw (also judd-engine) much faster than some dtm - cars.

for example the racetrack in mickhausen: track is 2.200 meter long.

BRENNER Norbert Opel Astra V8 DTM best lap: 00:55.373 (2010 under perfect conditions)

PLASA Georg BMW 320 V8 Judd best lap: 00:51.669 (2009)

with his new car he will be about 1 sek faster per km. so a dtm car get about 6 seks @ ca. 2200 km...

the complete harness of the car weighs 3kg. (those harness are mainly used in the aerospace)

carbon/ceramic discs, 780 kg, magnesium forged wheels!Oo! > matched to avon tyres.

with the correct translation up to 350 kmh! in 5 seconds from 100kmh to 200kmh at a gradient of 8%.

@Hillclimbfans I love to watch George and all the videos on your channel, and have been subscribed for a while. Im not doubting any of the spec or figures for this car, as they are very impressive. I am just doubting that a modern DTM car would be such a walk over as you think. The Opel Astra DTM car that you mentioned is 10 years old now, and that doesnt take into account how good the driver was. Audi and Merceds DTM budgets are huge, and their testing is rigorous.
