Well Kroenen is supposed to be a merciless killer. Now in this scene they give the idea that he is at least someone cultured with a sense of decency. (Listening to classic music, y'know?)

I hope Del Toro ended up putting in that post-credits scene in hellboy 2 in which Kroenen returns! Such a pity if not...

A number of different sources have pointed out that Del Toro was planning on having Kroenen play a major role in Hellboy 3, and that the post credit sequence of Hellboy 2 would set up for it. Let's hope it's true...

it would ROCK if Kroenen were to return the prob is that the script that's going around says that if he comes back it would be as an 8 ft tall robot with his head in a jar which would suck really :( so if it's a choice I'd rather him stay the way he is...

ahh here we go. On wikipedia I found it. His name is Herman von Klempt, a Nazi scientist who worked alongside Kroenen. His body is destroyed but his head is kept alive in a jar. Are you sure the script isn't referring to Von Klempt? But I agree with you, if they were going to actually do that to Kroenen instead of Von Klempt, and just make him a head in a jar, then I'd rather he not return.

My friend lost the script or I'd give you the quote but I'm absolutely positive that was definitely describing Kroenen in a Zinco warehouse being unveiled as a floating head in a jar plugged into an 8 ft tall robot *sobs* I think that would be there way of mixing in Von Klempt :S
