  • do you think tuna would give a nice taste because of the mayo??im a big fan of tuna

  • @Dreadydreams Yoou could add a 6oz. can of tuna but I would usee three eggs as it would be more tuna than egg :) It is a known sandwich combo.

    cheers! KtC

  • @kooktocook omg! I love eggs in my tuna!! Whenever i try to tell people I do this, they always give me a weird look!

  • It looked tasty! I want to make one too using your recipe.

  • lol @ the mechanical knife XD

  • I think your bowl is flirting with me.

  • Hey ktc,..i watched most of all the recipes...and its quick to see..thanx for a reply...by the way whats ur name?...

  • @divyam4 My name is Kook :D

  • @kooktocook you should slap your mom for calling you kook...

  • @111NoOne111 lol yep!

  • Well learn something new everyday had no idea about the beater in the egg pot to prevent cracking,,,Here`s a tip for you salt your water and the eggs will be very easy to peel...that came from Martha Stewart..: O )

  • @Carballoca I find the beater stops them from bouncing around (yep cracking). I will try the salt. Martha can't be wrong lol

    cheers! KtC

  • Thank You! i can now cook for my Girl. She is christian and a veggitarian or something like that, and i cook myself diferent stuff, instead of us eating special K each morning. xD

  • @lilgoalieman Special K is great ground up into crumbs and then used for coating on oven chicken and pork chops! mmmmmm pork chopssss. Happy I can help you make her happy! KtC

  • I want to make these as soon as I can, so I have a question: When you boil the eggs, do you just put them in water, turn it on for 10 minutes, and take them out? Or do you let the water boil, and then count 10 minutes from there? Also, whats the least amount of time you can refrigerate the finished egg salad? Thanks!

  • @TKOG1220 I put the eggs in wait until the water boils and start counting. This is more important for a softboil egg (4 minutes) than hard. But you can cook it too long.

I usually eat stuff pretty quick, but egg salad in a tight container up to three days is fine. As anything it best fresh (this will make two thick or three thin sandwiches).

Thanks for subbing, will visit you soon! KtC

  • @kooktocook Ah. thanks a lot. But when I asked about refrigerating them, I meant the 1 hour period you mentioned chilling the egg salad in the video. What is the lowest amount of time I can bring that down to, so I can eat it quick enough? lol ^_^ Not trying to sound rude, and I appreciate your answers :) Thanks

  • @TKOG1220 My error, an hour is best to cool it down. Also, the flavour blends a bit more after time (that's why some leftovers are better the next day). I will note, some folks have it warm on toast actually as soon as they prepare it. But not me :)

    cheers, KtC

  • @TKOG1220 Ok, thanks for your input. :) I think you should make a video on how to make fried calamari. It's always been one of my favorite appetizers at restaurants. Maybe, even a bacon and scallop soup, or some kind of salad. Just some creative suggestions :)

  • @TKOG1220 I have made. Will see, thanks. KtC

  • thank you very much. i enjoy this sandwitch very much when i am hungry.

  • My favorite cold sandiwch.

    Thanks KtC :)

  • @wc3nExiZi Yeah, I love it too/ A weekly thing here. So easy. KtC

  • You added mustard but didnt write it down.. im confused.

  • @xDontFaintx I do put a tsp. of prepared mustard in the salad. It is fine without it (individual taste). It should have been written and was not. I will speak with the kittens in QA. Sorry and thank you for pointing it out. cheers! KtC

  • gotta love electric knives

  • Yum! Quick and to the point. Always a favorite sandwich!

  • @gazork123 One of my quick sandwich favorite too. Can't go wrong with it. thanks and cheers! KtC

  • I think this sandwich tastes better with wheat bread. I guess the wheat bread enhances the flavor of the whole sandwich.

  • @Quoranation I agree. I do you wheat bread and should use it it more in the vids. It really does make the egg salad. cheers! KtC

  • you usually use white bread in your recipes, i'll try it with wheat, like it makes a difference with all the bacon and cheese lol

  • EGG SANDWICH!

  • Thats a really good easy to understand way of how to make egg salad sandwiches. I like how you keep to the basics, anyone can add things. Cool, keep up the good work.

  • I always thought most folks had their own way of making. lol I suppose this is one of mine. Thanks for the comment. cheers! KtC

  • is it dry parsely and basil? [ngek!]

  • a bit of fresh is better however, I used dry that day. cheers! KtC

  • you forget add cheese and tomato...it make more delicious!

  • egg salad should be simple? dont like this at all including annoying music

  • i see u added a little mustard too. cut the sandwich diagonally when done for easier handling

  • easy as that

  • i love the crust !! why do ppl cut it !

  • yeah me too. I was trying to be fancy with a simple sandwich. Good point! cheers, KtC

  • just for aesthetics

  • A great bread salad is the tune version of this too . Just add Tune Sun dried tomatoe Pesto peper & Salt Some mayonaise Verry tiny 'brunoise' chopped apple ''s and mix it Brunoise is a frensh term for small chopped sqare parts Google it :) or ask for more info Maybe sorry for some spelling mistakes Greetings woody
  • I am familiar with the name/method, I refer to it as cutting 'cubes' as in ice-cubes or 'dicing'. Even and square cuts (vegetables/fruit). I love tuna salad sandwiches, thanks for the recipe. cheers! KtC

  • AHHHHH the crust is the best part!!! make me one with the end piece!! :) hehe

Ever try replacing the onion with celery? Works with all "salad" sandwiches, tuna, chicken, etc. Gives it a nice CRUNCH!

  • Fancy Fancy

  • I make mine the same way except I put a mild hot sauce in the mayo to add a little spicy kick.

  • I have tried that too, taste great! cheers! KtC
