I'll admit they don't *LOOK* hardcore, but is that all it takes to be hardcore? The way you look? Cause I guarantee you that half the people that *dress* hardcore, aren't nearly as hardcore as they think.

At least these guys made a band, made success, and had good music. It was short-lived, but they did more to secure their "hardcore"ness than a vast majority of the "hardcore" population.
