  • can you send me the build instructions?

  • the plastic liner

  • @UnstopableRollerteam i bought it from a supplier off ebay. it was a huge 35x35 liner. was the most expensive part at just under $1000 for just it.

  • where did u buy the plastic black thingy from

  • @UnstopableRollerteam the liner, or the plastic lines running from the pumps?

  • Hi.. i see those blue barrels being used everywhere for kois filters.. where the heck do you get them?

  • @acemanz888 i got mine off craigslist, but there are plastic suppliers online. try a local ad/craigslist first though.

  • Looks like the barrels do nothing, the only filter you have is in the skimmer, or did I loose some info here, are you pumping from the bottom as well.Do you have any filters in the barrels. Nice job.

  • @rickyeon the barrels hold filter media. in this vid they didnt have any, kind of a leak find/test run of it. not that this vid matters much, ill be building a DIY Bakki shower for it. still working on them, but a new vid will be out soon to show them, explain the new system. these barrels with filter media in them work excellent actually. thanks for the positives.

  • Looking forward to seeing this done . It will be real nice having a deck right there.

  • @gumper5242 yeah, the deck and edging is the only things really left, check out my more recent vids....alot more done since this vid.

  • do you have a uv filter to stop the water going like pea soup?

  • @efcbluenose1 not yet, i will add one eventually, but with a big, good running biofilter, there is almost no need for one. plus, im trying to keep my power bill down a bit, and uv's, at least the ones needed for this pond, would run my power bill sky high.

  • @10kpondguy Oh And i think you should get a UV with a good bio filter you only need 1 watt for every 2,000 Gallons, So a nice 36 watt UV would work great for you, i turned off my UV's in my skimmer, i have 114 watts of UV in my 2,000 pond, anyways i turned it off just to see how they work, and over a month, the water was so Green, 4" into the water you cant see your hand... Since i have a pump that tuns my water over 3 times an hour, the pond was clear in two days after turning the UV's Back on.

  • $25.00 for a single 2" bulkhead? You got ripped off, tell the person who sold them to you to give you your money back, for $25.00 you can get a set of 4 on eBay. =) Next time you'll know. Good luck with any future work on the pond! =)

  • @Arteolike 25 for a 1" bulkhead. i know, expensive, but it is the nicest one i could find dual rubber gasket, with a lockring. and i siliconed it, lol. should be no leaks.

and ill be sure to tell jerrys hardware store they ripped me off, the only other place they are cheaper is online.

    thanks again

  • @10kpondguy - "the only other place they are cheaper is online." Actually no, we have a tore here in California were you can get a1" bulkhead for only $6.99/ each rubber washers, gasket, nut everything.

  • @Arteolike well, thats there. for me, its these, or online. and to be honest, i dont mind paying a little more for them. im a firm believer in you get what you pay for. on a big pond like this, im already in it a bunch, so no point in scrimping on it, especially on the filters.

  • @10kpondguy Yes i guess, but i just leaned about these fittings called "unseal" They are basically rubber bulkheads, and they cost only like $2.79 a piece, They seam to work as they have great reviews, hopefully i will try them out.

  • @Arteolike uniseals, yes, ive heard of them. never had a chance to try them out, let me know if they work well.

  • r u gonna put any kind of media in the barrels? i didnt see anything in them. that part should be the "bio" part of your filter. that's the part i'm trying to figure out.

whatever you are pumping 'into' the barrels(7000gal)has to be coming out of the barrels(7000gal)or it would be over flowing the tops. unless you are talking about the 'head'(height above surface) where you lose gallons before it gets to your barrels(load on the pump).

thanks for this speedy response i appreciate it...

  • @apauln yes, i am gonna run some scrubber pads in the first barrels, and probably a combo of pads, and my expanded clay rocks. just waitin on the mail to send them, because i had to buy a lot of them. yes, i meant the head height is whats killing a bit of the flow, obviously not much,(max head is just over five feet) but i still have to say it, other wise ill get some smart ass giving me a long explination of it. lol. thanks

  • tHATS SOME KINDA A PUMP, LOOKS GOOD. DECK IS GONNA BE COOL.

  • @doug2877 thanks man, the pumps work great, really, really powerful. i cant wait to finish the deck, gonna be nice.
