Wow....that took me back....Mermaids Pool was THE place to go when I was in my final years at school. The fufi slide was quite the ride....called a zip wire here in the States. Now I was there when it was still Rhodesia....lol. Maybe 55 years ago. Still a blast seeing it.

Live in the UK now , I really loved this place in my teen years. Remember "Touch of Insanity Disco"........ Ahhhh..... the good old days ;0)

I was about 5 when I last went to Mermaids Pool. I remember that rock slide as if it was yesterday, (not forgetting the fufi slide too) because I wasn't allowed to slide down it...lol I always wondered why coz it looked fun. Roger, thanx for the footage. Locked away memories are flooding in...Fok the politics, lets rebuild our home :)

I remember this place. Im 30 and living in London these days.  I ever miss the Zim childhood. It must be 25 years since I went down those rocks! Thank-you for this footage !
