BMW shows scary domination in this segment of cars.... old E90 is STILL at this moment, even though its production is finished, the best car in the segment. Its better than C class and A4 in pretty much every area, except rear passenger space. And best part is, F30 is better than E90 in every single aspect. This new 3 series really is the best small executive sedan, by far, and will stay that way for many years, probably until others copy enough things off of it to catch up.

What are people talking about? Its much better than the E90...still lacks the classic beauty of the E46 but it looks so much better than the E90.

Im was expecting some new design elements.But the used the front theme and hood functionality from Renault Megane 2.

@flawns no. i lived in bavaria. i saw like 20 of bmw 3 series everyday. i do know everything about audis, and enough about bwm and mercedes. if you used google search, then you would realise that 3 and 5 did indeed copy the look of the bwm 7! especially bmw 5 and 7 do look very similiar..

As far as design goes, it is underwhelming and disappointing. It is barely an evolution of the design. The new face is uninspiring and the hood slopes down so much that it doesn't match the proportions of the rest of the car. The proportions are completely off, especially when seeing it from the side view.

@Unholybarrelmaker Yes, especially the rear. Those taillights are basically the same ones as the 5-Series'. And the squared off trunk edge, cut lines, bumper, everything is almost identical to the new 5-Series rear end. A very lazy effort by Van Hooydonk.
