I agree the who is harry doc was awesome my used to play a little touch of schmilsson in the night all the time when i was a baby and I still have her record to this day and it still sounds as good as ever I wish i wouldve paid more attention to him when he was alive but by the time I realized he was the same guy who sang everybodys talking and coconut it was in forest gump and he was gone
Thanks nick21683, for posting this. I was 14 when the "Pandemonium" LP came out, and our local station KRLA gave Nilsson the LA hometown treatment; Without Her and 1941, then a year later Good Old Desk and this one were local hits, but never charted nationally. What an impression he made! If you haven't already seen the "Who Is Harry Nilsson" documentary, it was finally released on DVD a couple months ago (I got it from Netflix), and it's terrific.
I wonder if George Tipton is the same George Allison Tipton who wrote the themes for "Soap" and "Benson."

This is one of the most achingly gorgeous love songs ever written/recorded. It's shocking that it's not better known.
I first heard it in the 1971 film "Dusty and Sweets McGee," and bought the movie soundtrack just for this Nilsson masterpiece.
Thanks for posting.
