  • Love this track. Have not heard of it and glad it has been posted on You Tube by a great fan of the Great Bob James. Musicians like him are stars in my view.

  • oh gosh very nice..one of my old favorites

  • I remember being stationed in the middle of the Atlantic (Azores) in 1980, and wondering what my friends were doing back in the world? Now I wonder what my friends on "The Rock", are doing now.

  • God bless Bob James. His music has been great for as long as I've been a fan and lover of his music. Thanks for posting this. Nice song. True too.

  • According to the album, here's the lineup:

Composed By - Jeff Schoen , Kash Monet , Neil Jason Keys - Bob James Bass - Neil Jason Acoustic Guitar - Richie Resnicoff Electric Guitar - Hiram Bullock Drums - Idris Muhammad Percussion - Jimmy Maelen Background Vocals: Bob James , Hiram Bullock , Jeff Schoen , Patti Austin

  • Just addding to the interesting info on the tune, The lead singer on the album (Lucky Seven) version was Neil Jason, who also played Bass on the tune.

  • i have the orginial album . have to dig for it. i heard it when it first cam eout on the radio back when i was growing up in nyc on the former jazz station wrvr 106.7fm .you can goolge the history on that former radio station.on most of bob james's early albums from the 70's 2 of the backup singers are luther vandross and patti austin

  • The original recording of this song was sang by my father. They took it and re did it and never got anything for it. when the album was first released singer was unknown. I have the album and cassette. Crazy.

  • the backups are sung by my dad Jeff Schoen( who wrote this song for Bob James and Patty Austin
