People focus totally on the person who closes the doors. For several days, those same doors had been opening for no known reason. The only thing we see on video is the one time someone appears on camera. The question isn't who closed the doors - that could have been an employee. The question is what was opening them! When the doors open, nobody is at the doors, meaning that they at least didn't open them by hand!

That is a woman, wearing what looks like an Elizabethan style ruff and a gown split down the front from the waist down, a wide or house dress. Couple of questions. Has anything like this been seen at this door before? Was this an important entrance that must be kept closed in the past? How would someone from the Tudor era know how to close this particular kind of door? Whoever/whatever this was, it looked as if they were having a hard time getting the door closed.

This is fake, i've seen live broadcasts proving it is fake. It was an employee dressed in a cloak pushing the fire door open. The illusion worked more due to the fact that he was standing on a ladder, which is, why, the 'ghost' doesn't appear to move it's lower half. If you actually zoom into the pictures, You can see a face on the figure, people suspect it to be a skull. However, due to the poor lighting, the face is an average face of a person.

Must be a ghost because he does not seem to understand modern fire doors and how they are drawn closed grabbing at the bar on the door, to his left close to it's hinges and anyone knows that is hard on the wrist where as grasping further along the bar towards the opening, the door could be easily swung. Then remembering oh right door closes first then left. He likely misses the great heavy wooden doors of his time that swung easily ...where is the doorman???

i went on a gohst walk here at night. it was so scary- had to walk down the haunted corridoor in the dark with my friend. We ran screaming the whole way!! we stood outside these doors and someone opened them and screamed. scared the SHIT out of me. It was very fun but some of the stories were so scary!! They said that in that room they have sensors to pick up anyone in there, and that room was closed. No one was picked up on the sensors.They literally had no idea evidence of a person being there

This security camera is a series of still pictures. I don't know how much time lapse there is between pictures. I don't know if this film was edited. Is it possible that with the time lapse a knowledgeable employee could get past all the other video cameras without being photographed? I don't know. Before I judge this film, I'd like to see the whole video, not just this one clip. I'd like to hear everything the two people who are talking had to say, not just the clip seen here.

This is authentic--experts have said it cannot be faked. This gentlmen in a stylish robe is probably a monk or church official (1520's) who worked under Cardinal Wolsey before Henry 8 grabbed Wolsey's magnificent Hampton Court and fired Wolsey. My guess is this spirit is not happy with the Anglican State of England--their disobediance to the one true Church. But angry or not, atleast the monk is polite enough to close each door after they rebanged open. Good manners from the other side!

this video was shown in the news channel. it has a very much clearer picture than this video. It shown that the figure was wearing a old long robe. It was a female with a messy hair with a crooked nose. If it a ghost it is quite scary indeed.

These security cams are worthless and no one can remedy that absolute fact. To further muddy the photographic limitations of these cameras, these videos taken at night also sport the fact that aperture and exposure is such that images can be seen, the same exposure in daytime would show nothing if taken at night, so the camera has to increase its aperture to allow in light making for all kinds of known ghost type images. No need for super speedy hoaxters, the camera does it all. Try it out...

Low light conditions would not create the illusion of somebody pushing and closing a door. Probably just a hoax with somebody in period clothing.

I'd love to see this again imaged with high speed video, atleast 100 frames per second. Of course there would be no mystery in that so I'm probably just another nay saying asshole for even saying it:-p Cameras and CCD imagers I know, ghosts I do not but one thing is for sure that most of the videos like this that I've seen are pure rubbish and the limitations of these devices are being exploited and used for hoaxes. In the age of digital imagers I cant believe people fall for this dribble.

Hmm, These security cameras typically shoot in low resolution @ around 12 to 15 frames per second meaning that a guy full on running could hit that door and fly through it and out of the FOV of the camera before it could register him at all...

Then someone else from inside simply closes the door behind that jerk. Better yet, both parties are in on this and like me and many others, are aware of the severe limitations of these security cameras, especially at night.

Don't really know what to think of this, it can be very easy to fake that, tho i have read that people have noticed the door opening without someone being there, but the camera did actually capture the ghost, and i have read that a human eye cannot see the ghost but via cameras etc, it is possible.

Everone im from Norway and i have a book about ghost is it real or not and there is a lot of stories in this book. I have readed the story about The Ghost of HAMPTON COURT. And in the story it has a picture of the "gost". So i think it's real becuase if you hear what the man or the ladie says to the end it says that is much more camreas around that place and in the others camera it's not a ghost there and the doors are not movining so it's wrierd that is only one camera who can see the ghost!

It's clearly not a ghost. Staff/employees often wear period costumes for various events at Hampton Court and that's what this is.
