In the episode....That Colonel...said to Dr Mckay...if they(Earth) manage to dial Destiny....He wants Rodney Mckay to join the Destiny Expedition....THAT"S Cool... Maybe can bring along Dr Jackson, Dr Beckett, Teal'C, Ronan/Teyla and last..Colonel Sheppard........ for a season 3...the ratings should go up once again if they were in it......

i just watched this episode....and i must say...I do felt that FEEL of the old Stargate ATLANTIS/SG1 creeping back...haha...its great! Thanks Mckay....Thanks Mr woolsey....and thanks for that quote Colonel Young said, "Sheppard's right..." At least they still do remember the great Lt Colonel John Sheppard....

@littlemegamonkey Yes, but when you say 'basic level', what you mean is that the premise that is a literary classic. Beyond that vague premise, the show is absolutely nothing like Voyager. There were clowns calling Atlantis Stargate's answer to Voyager too. Instead of course we ended up with a show that did everything that SG-1 has already done, but worse. SG-1 and SGU are great in different ways, while SGA is just a poor man's SG-1.

@TopGunProductions Actually, I think there is more of a chance they'll be done! While SGu was going, any other Stargate-related stuff were put on the back of their mind. Now that they don't have to work on SGU anymore, they can work on the movies!

Now I'm not saying they will happen. Just that they don't have SGU as a restriction to work on it anymore.

Anyway, can't wait for Extinction! Hoping Jewel Staite will be back on it! And McKay: Of course he'll be in it! ^_^

@ChevaliersEmeraude It doesn't work like that I'm afriad. They were making progress on the movie up until SGU was cancelled, now it's on indefinite hold while they try and find a way to conclude SGU somehow. Plus, the Atlantis sets have already been torn down and most of the props have been auctioned off, including the gate itself.

We wouldn't have got it anyway as long as SGU was playing. Not saying that we'll get one now that it is cancelled, just that while it wasn't cancelled, they didn't worked on it one bit!

@ChevaliersEmeraude They've said that he cancellation puts the movie on hold indefintely, and Joe and Paul have already moved onto a new series. Mallozzi has said if fans want to know what happened then they should petition MGM to release the script, which says to me that he chances of it ever being made are practically nil. There only way I see it getting made is if Brad gets his SGU movie(s) first and the crew get back together. Though I wouldn't count on that happening either.

@curruptedJimbo No. Syfy pay a significant part of the shows budget through their license fee, and they cancelled that, meaning the show ended. MGM came out of bankruptcy a while ago with $500 million dollars to spend, the show definitely didn't end because of them.

@shadealmighty They were asked if a jump in ratings could get the show back, and they said hypthetically yes, but it would take double or triple the current numbers, meaning 2 to 3 million. It simply won't happen I'm afraid :(

@wti5280 Yeah.. but you see, it's also the community's fault, mostly. 1) Too many people were either so loyal to the first two series (SG1 & SGA) either didn't like the format or execution of SGU.. and 2) the old timers wanted to not give the show any viewership simply out of spite. It is such a shame too, that it took the show this long to build up the kind of momentum it now has. Also, by episode 2x14, they finally, FINALLY had humor... something the show needed from the very start.

There were just way to many fans that couldn't get over the fact that it was more of a drama based series, so they just had their minds already made up that "this just isn't Stargate at all, i'm not gonna watch this"...And now THEY are the main reason we may not see another installment in the SG franchise. I'm just mad at SYFY because i think if they would've given it one more season, it would grow on people.
