This song reminds me of how many people didnt like me because I grew up being a little bit on the heavy side I just look at them like really. tell you the truth there has been times where I wish I said "One of these days your gonna love me"
This song came out around the time my Mother passed away in '97. Unfortunately she lead a troubled life and didn't high much love for herself and could nolt demonstrate any love toward her 7 children. She lived to be 70, and raised her children alone mostly as my Dad passed when he was 43. Such a sad song, yet I love hearing it. Makes me think of my Mother, whom I forgive for any hurts she caused me, and I hope she forgives me as well. Thanks.
As I re-read my post of 3 months ago (lots of typos), but I feel exactly the same. Funny, when I go to search for this song, I never recall the title. I absolutely love it, as it still brings back a flood of memories............and still hurts. Thanks.
im sorry chris. you must hate me & those girls from school after all those times we called you disgusting & fat & ugly. maybe we caused you to turn gay? :(
love this song one of my favorites from tim. i was in high school when it came out i was going through some deep depression i listen to it over and over again this song has so much meaning and still rings clear
The song has a happy ending after all. After all the jerks, and heartache, I found the love of my life! I'm happily married now. Never judge a book by it's cover. My husband is very loving and he loves me more than life itself. He cleans, washes my clothes, takes out the litter box, takes out the trash. When I get off work he rubs my feet, cause they hurt so much. He even packs my clothes before we go on a trip. He's there for me emotionally. KATTS
This song was very healing. I loved the song when it came out. I still do. It's how I became a fan of Tim's. Ever since then I was so curious about his past. We both had a dad that was very abusing. :'(
Some of Tim's music is about issues that use to be not talked about. Tim got these things out in the open, and I don't feel like I need to keep it hush, hush anymore. God bless you Tim, your band, and your song writers. KATS*
You never know who you might be chatting to when you are on the internet. Someone named Mark wrote music for Tim McGraw. Don't have a clue who he was. I gave him the idea on what the song should be about. What inspired me was all the jerks I had gone out with in my life. STEVE BUCK hoppe you loved the song. Thanks to you another song was written. P.S. Steve, the last verse is about you. I know you must have been your own worse enemy. Cause I know you didn't like yourself very much!
Are you really that desperate, you have to pretend YOU came up with this song? Either you have MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder), or you just have to make this up to feel better about yourself.
i hear this song, and the only thing i can think of is my father...."one of these days your going to love me" one of these days your going to miss me dad, cause i wont be there anymore cause you pushed me away. so i went away. ='(
I had a dad like that. I left town for over 25 years. He died two years ago. The last time I saw him it was in 83. At the funeral I could not make myself look at him. I don't have to hide anymore, nor be afraid.
For blocking this video from fave book is NOT right you loose fans that way !

I'm the redheaded fool, but the day has never come. Gotta have a reason to love myself, just don't see that reason.
