  • this isn't better than original because Jim is THE BEST,but i love this version too...echo & the bunnymen rocks

  • I need to see this film again

  • fuck the film i just love the song!

  • Love this film, never saw the second. Mind you when Michael is taken on his first kill and the victims are dancing around the fire, "Walk this Way" by Aerosmith was playing and yet it never featured on the Lost Boys sound track

  • @SulisMinerva i know. disappointment.

  • The original is the best but this is a fitting tribute.

  • love this song! people are strangeeee!!

  • Lovedave - oh i so agree

  • Fuck that! 7 people are normal! I'm strange!

  • I prefer the original, it's strange because my Dad and my friend prefer this one, but I prefer the original

  • I have to say, I enjoy Echo's version better. I've tried to like Jim for so long. What an egotistical manic. And, what has happened in his resting place, is what I would figure he would want. All other poets graves are defiled!

  • It's not a bad cover if I'm honest, but I prefer the haunting vocals of Jim Morrison.

  • 7 people are strange

  • lol the doors executed so much better, what is this shit listen to the original version

  • @hottiewithabody6996 god chill your beans!, you go listen to the doors and i'll stay with 622 people who like this song!

  • @hottiewithabody6996 echo and the bunnymen's version is MUCH better

  • love this one and crty little sister but cry little sister is my all time fave ILY 2 THE LOST BOYS!~!!!

  • It's ironic cause these guys are strange to have come up with a band name like that!

Anyway, it's a good cover but it's just a copy of the original. A great cover is something that recreates the song! It just seems like they're stealing the song... I mean, why would I want to buy this if I already have the original? See where I'm coming from?

  • he sounds just like jim morrison

  • What's so brilliant about this movie? This song is brilliant, just like every other Doors song.

  • Lost Boys is a brilliant film. I would watch it on replay if I could.

  • This is my favourite song to play on Halloween plus i'm quite strange so seem's appropriate.

  • one of the things i like the most are all the "missing children" posters. .. awsome...

  • Hate to say it but this is better than the original {^_^}

  • @LOVEDAVEGAHAN What!? Don't get me wrong, the Echo and bunnymen is a great band but, the original is way better than their cover. This cover is good too but different all to it's own. But the original is a classic not to be touched or compared to.

  • @Zadunestar Well everyone's got their own tastes! I usually prefer originals and I'm not knocking The Doors (no pun intended!) but I do prefer this. Wouldn't do if we were all the same would it?

  • @LOVEDAVEGAHAN There's no way it can be better than the original... Saying that, I still enjoy this cover.

  • @LOVEDAVEGAHAN false

  • @TheFallenExplode What do you mean 'false'?.......please explain yourself to someone who has got 26 thumbs up!

  • @LOVEDAVEGAHAN it's not better than the original at all...

  • @TheFallenExplode That's just your opinion and, as I have explained before, people have different views and tastes. They are both great versions and I like them both but there's something about this that just has the edge for me....and I'm usually a stickler for an original :)

  • great movie and great song

  • My favorite song throughout the whole movie!! XD

  • 7 people forgot you can like the doors version and still like this one.

  • @hogleg oh i hate comments like that fuck off

  • the frog brotherd rules

  • THIS VERSION WAS PRODUCED BY RAY MANZAREK OF THE DOORS AND HE PLAYS THE KEYBOARDS ON IT AS WELL.. THAT'S WHY OUT OF ALL DOORS COVERS.. THIS ONE EXCELS SOO WELL ABOVE THE REST!

  • is this actually by echo coz it doesnt sound anything like them really , ive always thought about it , the vocals are nothing alike so i dunno maybe its someone else i the band singing, someone enlighten me before i get on wikipedia

  • Yeah! LOST BOYS FTW!

People tell me I like "Twilight" because I like vamp.... boy are they wrong :P

I was into vamp way before gay ass twilight was made.

Lost Boys, Salem's Lot, Fright Night, An Interview with the Vampire.... these ARE the true vamp's favorite movies!

  • @JuanMamaril yes, LOST BOYS thank you!!!!

  • @JuanMamaril yeah!!! i'm a vampire fan too and i don't like twilight. but u forgot the original Dracula 1931 with Bela Lugosi

  • @Ayamenii Welcome to the "real Vampires" Lovers' club my friend :)

  • I like this version because it's longer and it has a louder piano part.

  • Love the Doors version, but I have always thought this was a pretty darn good cover!

  • THIS is how more covers should be! It pretty much stays true to the feel of the original, its just a little more upbeat and "80s-ified".

For the record, I grew up on 80s music AND classic rock like The Doors, so I love both versions. I like this a little more though, just because of the new wave influence.

  • I have to say I like the Doors, but this version of the song is really good, they were obviously the right band to cover this song, that and the Lost Boys rule -"Death by stereo!"

  • bin looking for it for 30 jears!!! great song, the Doors! briliant cover bunnymen!!!!!

  • six people were vampires

  • Echo have so good songs, but I would prefer they didn't cover this one... This version ruined a beautiful song and a good movie.

I mean, what's wrong with Sergeant? did he play the solo with his toes?

  • @BassKuroi Echo and the Bunnymen did it first, ken?

  • @dowling1981 The Doors was the one who was original band who sang this song.

  • @Supersweetguy and in my opinion it was better

  • @jsramos97 It was just a fact. I don't who sang this. This was awesome!!!!

  • @Supersweetguy No, the Doors covered it. Shall it be released upon them all?

  • @BassKuroi Echo and the Bunnymen did it first, ken?

  • 1:38 ian be pimpin'.

  • This song helped bring he Doors back good version and good movie too

  • Really the only difference between this and The Doors is higher quality sound, the guitar solo, mullets and vampires.. I love The Doors and I love Echo & The Bunnymen.. I know they respected Jim :)

  • fangtastic cover... oh yeah! :)

  • lame...any attempt at a remake, remix is futile!

  • tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunneeee \o/

  • Thfe bunnys version.. classic ! The film.. classic !

  • this is way better than the doors version...

  • @slimyhat1 don't be a fool. The Doors wrote it how can it be better than the original?

  • Both versions are pretty outstanding! Love Ian Mac's love of The Doors. Two of my favourite bands.

  • RIP Corey xxx

  • prefer the Bunnymen version rather than Doors, although I am a Doors-fan

  • Ever notice, the drummer from Bunnymen died at the same age as Jim Morrison from The Doors? Also, a member of the band The Lost Boyz died the same age, and what movie was this covered for? Spooky.

  • @stevent60

if you're talking about the lost boys, yes it is amazing, but the second, not so much. they should have made the sequel sooner after the first. feldman makes it, but haim would have made it amazing

  • didnt the doors make this song?

  • The Doors did the original and The Bunnymen covered it for the Lost Boys film.

  • @StevieMac1234 did a fantabulous job too

  • @whenshaltthoubebetta way back in the '60s, . and i was there! ha! i like to say that, everybody treats me like i'm a celebrety or something just 'cause i grew up in the .... 60s!!! :) but i really like the '80s too, don't ask me which i like better, 'cause i don't know. who did that song "livin' in the '80s" i don't think it was iggy pop was it?

  • @m1kewithaone Band The Joke, or Zero Boys.

  • @dracons ok, "zero boys" reminded me of the little place i would go to in denver to see the "ramones", pat banitar, motels, etc. i forgot all about punk rock! thanks, and then, i typed in " the joke" and i got something that was really funny, you should go see it. then i remembered the band was called "killing joke" and i had forgotten, but i really really liked them too! so thanks, and now i remmber "B movie" and i'm gunna go listen to them now!

  • @whenshaltthoubebetta yea think its a cover

  • @whenshaltthoubebetta that's a strange question... =)

  • best cover .

Bravo + congratulations Echo & The Bunnyman.

  • New Wave vampires, that's way cooler than the sparkling variants they have on movies now!! Great song and good movie too not to mention Jamie Gerts was hot during this time!

  • @afy777 because no self respectng vampire sparkles =]

  • Lost boys??? Poor Corey! Channeling Jim Morison!!!

  • @stevent60 I take it that you don't like the film then. Whats wrong with you it's a brilliant film, and the 2nd one is good too.

  • @StevieMac1234 wait there is a second movie? i thought there is only one....

  • @StevieMac1234 Just saw that stevent60 closed his account here on you tube.....no wonder he was an idiot. I love this movie and this song, if stevent60 had any brains at all he would have known that Echo and the Bunnymen love The Doors!!!

  • @StevieMac1234: yeah pretty good considering all the vampire movies nowadays are chick flick franchises.....

  • @StevieMac1234 the 3rd one not to bad ether

  • @StevieMac1234 oh yah, you're right! i forgot all about that second one!! it was good too, but i barely remember it. i've seen the first one probably 20 times, it's my favorite movie of all time! LOST BOYS... :)

  • @StevieMac1234

I love the movie, But I have watched it WAY to much to watch it again.

  • @StevieMac1234 first film was amazing the second was awfullllll !

  • @StevieMac1234 I liked this comment until i saw "the second one was good too."

  • @MufasaWasAPunk Too right. Some second films are good. Some aren't and should never have been made.

  • @stevent60 Kiefer Sutherland's Canadian dumbass

  • @stevent60 Absolutely nothing but they were big at the time of the filming.... this band rocks!!!!

  • @stevent60 Hatred is so very ugly, ignorance is even worse!!!!

  • @stevent60 Lost Boys is a classic film

  • @stevent60 you are sad if you dont like this film

  • @stevent60 lol

  • @stevent60 they weren't "stupid americans" they were teenagers. and i take it ur not american?

  • @stevent60 and we wonder what a prick like you is doing categorizing an entire nation

  • i love that movie. :3

    Song, is like friggin Epic.

    Fo shizz.

  • @juliettelamuria This is the only video I have of the song.

  • I was gonna say this was a great cover, but that solo was so half-assed it's not even funny. I was expecting something a bit more lively than THAT.

    Still good though.

  • Great cover!

  • Kiefer Sutherland looks damn sexy here...<3

Bastante parecido, incluso llegando a confundir... Pero Obvio, la voz de Morrison, no se iguala...

  • I wish they'd added more of their own sound to the song cause it sounds too close to the doors' version but without jim morrison's deep sexy voice.

    Nice cover though.

  • ESPECTACULAR AMAZING DE LA GRAN PUTA,IMPRESIONANTE ERE EREA SI SABES DE MUSICA OVBIO

  • Doors' songs can't be better without Doors. That one is OK, but not awesome.

  • Kiefer!

  • ótimo cover :D

    #loveechoandthebunnymen

  • So far, this is the best cover I've heard of any of The Doors tracks. Very, very impressive.

  • good cover jim morrison will be proud from the skies

  • I may sound like a complete idiot saying this...but I prefer this version to The Door's version.

  • love this song

  • RIP Corey Haim

  • amazing song

    amazing cover

    amazing video

    and amazing movie

    amazing bunnymen!

  • i love this song take me back to some good times !!!!

  • good version... as the cult's wild child

  • gran cover gran banda gran soundtrack garn pelicula sniff me recuerda cuando la vi en el cine santa lucia o el cinerama que ahora es lapizlopes ja,fue como el 87 o 88.

  • I love the original by the doors but you can't deny how amazing this version is!!

  • Wow! Nice version... Ian truly has an incredible voice.

  • no one beats the doors

  • This version is the one I've been looking for, but the piano seems a little different, I think one of the solos is missing. Still, it kicks ass! I like this better than the original by The Doors, but they own it! It's really cute, but The Bunnymen are just pets!!!

  • i prefer this version too, better than the doors'

  • having just heard this version against the original...i have to say i like the doors's better...but echo and the bunnymen is just such an amazing name for a band...

  • <3 Lost Boys movie & music.

Argued with my X to name our daughter 'Star' (sounds chavvy now but @ the time...)

Suths senior & Jr are wonderous.

An aquaintance of mine inadvertantly knows Ian, & whilst externally we appear ice cool in his presence. We later secretly simultaneously squeal about 'Mister Echo' (aka Young Ones).

    People are strange:

Hedonistically harbouring latent lust, & languishing over precious, luscious lips, carving creativity, enticing & inviting you to embrace the echo.

  • me gusta mas esta version que la de the doors , no se porque , pero suena mejor

  • me gusta mas esta version ke la de los doors, pero es cuestion de gustos.

  • You probably have to try pretty hard to ruin this song. I've heard some pretty uninspired versions by some pretty mediocre musicians... the music is so discernible (for lack of a better term; i'm drunk, you'll have to excuse me) that it always seems to work, even when you shouldn't. I typically dislike "covers", but this song is the one exception.

  • I like to upset Doors fans by saying I much prefer this version, but I honestly do. Helps that I was such a Lost Boys fan in my youth.

  • @StChrissieboy I am a Doors fan and I am not upset. I like this version too. I have to say it's the best cover so far.

  • @aviatrix5391 I meant more that I do upset some by saying it not that it is a hobby of mine or anything. I like both versions too but I love this one for nostalgic reasons as well.

  • @StChrissieboy No need to fight. I also love this version of The Door's song.

  • @StChrissieboy I also like it better than the Doors version

  • This is a damn awesome cover. Love The Lost Boys!

  • brilliant song and lost boys is an amazing film

    you have very gd taste

  • great song thanks for posting

  • this is a very good version

  • favourite film, favourite song!

  • it's okay, but like anything else i still prefer The Doors' version of it. 10x better

  • No, I don't like the doors versio as much.

  • Echo And The Bunnymen or The doors ? :-??

  • the offical version is from the doors but echo and bunnymen remade it

  • great song and movie

  • produced by ray manzarek

  • For Mike Ward

    XXX

    Guido

  • this version is so generic.

  • for some reason this sounds like a more generic rock version of people are strange

  • People are strange when youre a stranger

  • i love this song and i love this movie!!! ^_^

  • I know the bunnymen covered it, along with a few other tracks they covered, (also found the same 12"). It was the bunnymen's cover that was used for the lost boys. If you haven't got the 12" I think the same tracks can be found on "Crystal Days"

  • adamsully2006

I think you will find Echo And The Bunnymen covered it it was actually written by Robby Krieger and Jim Morrison although credit was given to the The Doors evenly.

  • Dude, this was a Doors song- they made it famous. Echo and the Bunnymen did a great cover version though.

  • I know this was a Doors song, The Bunnymen covered it and it was used in the film " The Lost Boys ", great song for a great film.

  • LMAO

    Yeah right.

  • Doors released this song as a single in September 1967 and then that same month as a part of the album Strange Days.

In 1988 Echo and the Bunnymen Covered it for the movie Lost Boys.

  • I love The Doors, but I've always prefered this version of 'People Are Strange' to The Doors original.

  • people are strange

  • This is a damn awesome cover. Love The Lost Boys!
