im mexican. but i dont even look like 1 & pple confuse me with european or an "american" (which is an idiotic term because AMERICAN is indeed an adjective that describes all people BORN in the CONTINENT america. ppl from the US know themselves as americans, but u should know that mexicans, canadians, argentins, etc r americans 2. anyway, u ppl from the US should call yourselves in more specific ways because being called "american" is just in general terms.

Hey Spain is NOT part of Latin America it's European. I'm Mexican and when I go to miami whites think I'm Cuban & when I go to New your they think I'm puerto rican lol. But I don't get all offended I just politely correct them.

I am american, my husband is from mexico, however the area that we live in, there are alot of people from central and south america, and they get called mexicans all the time, and they should get offended, its like someone calling me canadian or from the UK, every country has their own special cultures and different things to be proud of, i would like to inform everyone of this, but its hard, some people just dont want to know the difference...sorry guys, lol blame it on ignorance.
