  • They definitely say the 'ow' sound differently!!!!

  • I don't really see the issue unless you have a stronger Canadian accent (east coast, Alberta, etc).

I think a lot of Canadian accents could be mistaken for those from Northern US states.

But then again, I'm not an actor.

  • @Robopencil Whoa its ontartio that has a strong canadian accent western cnada doesn't bc to manitoba they don't have strong accents albertans have more of a southern like drawl same with saskatchewan, manitoba sounds more like people from minnesota and bc sounds like people from washington state, its ontario that has a strong one. in ontario they say oot for out in alberta they say owt, and in newfoundland they say care for car in alberta its car same as the rest of canada till the east coast.

  • It matters when you are an aspiring actor trying to land a role in a Hollywood production and the casting directory looks at you funny as you read your lines.

  • Everyone has an accent. So what?

    Joshua Spencer

  • No kidding. There are definitely words that Canadians pronounce differently from Americans. Ask any Canadian how they say "roof".

  • Are you fuckin kiddin' me?
