I don't know why ppl hated the Cheater's Lament so much when it was released, since idlers would have received it if they didn't use SteamStats and instead went on achievement_idle servers. Also, those who didn't play the game prior to the hat's release are butthurt, since they are apparent cheaters since they don't have the Halo. A solution to this is anyone who has played this game for at least a year without using any hacks gets the Halo.

@shanez1313 These were handed out at least a year ago, people were using a program that *pretended* they were connected to a server so that they could get drops. Then Valve went BAW and took away the hats of people using that program, and gave out the Halo to everyone else. You can't get them any more, and idle servers have nothing to do with it.

The program had 5-10 different servers. Valve patched the records of the visits to the server, and sent a gift to everyone on that list.

funny,I used idler servers and stuff of sort, before the update that made everyone lose their "earned" items, I was able to by pass that, all I did was uninstall steam and get rid of all my files, and re-install and I was able to keep my stuff ^_^
