Mark Brewer Blasts GOP for Partying on Mackinac Island

I was on the Island too and those Law makers Mr. Brewer is talking about didn't come to the Island well they were in session. What Mr. Brewer fails to tell us is that the republicans tried to pass a budget back in June, then in july and then about 2 weeks before this but the dems. under his order wouldn't allow it because they wanted to create a political situation they could exploit for their own gain. As for the Promise, I'm in college and I never took it even though I got it, so no biggy MrB

I was on the island and I'm 20. Most of the parties you couldn't get into without being 21 with an ID. Also, there were tourists and wedding parties as well that came. The parties we could get into we were ID'd and marked with a big permanent X. Obviously Mr. Brewer is intimidated by us hard working young republicans. Also, he looks like a very lonely negative soul with nothing better to do than to bitch away about things he makes up in his head =)

The legislators WERE IN LANSING dealing with the obstructions to a Balanced budget put out by his Dims!

The Senate in June had proposed a budget, which was neglected until the last minute. Lieing M*****r (drop F bomb here)

Funny, the Republicans submitted a balanced budget months ago. Way to wait until the last minute to try and do something Dems.

Both parties are worthless though. Michigan's population and tax base have been dropping for years, yet our Gov't spending has increased. How can it require more money to support the same level "services" to less citizens in Michigan? Only a politician can find a way to rationalize it.
