UIKeyboard関係の、2008年のSDK公開以前からあ­ったAPIが、OS3.2から削除されているようです。これは痛­恨。

s上でキーボードを表示させるために、この古いAPIが必要だっ­たのですが、それが使えないとなると、今後はそれに代わる方法が­発見されない限りは、s上でキーボードを表示させることができな­さそうです。

It's not retarded nor stupid. If you are stuck with an iPhone, a physical qwerty keyboard it's better in case you use the device to write large amounts of text. If you are a novel writer for example,so you would only use it at home. I had an iPhone and I sold it because it is pretty bad for office tasks, anyway.
