I swear when I was just a little older than that kid I went to a Ferrari dealership. The salesman commented that the wheel on the 355 I was looking at (at the time), was worth more than the car we had pulled up in. I thought he was an asshole for saying that, but he was right. Wasn't welcoming at all. Seeing this brings back memories, and how mabye instead of the Ferrari Dealership, maybe when I get the coin, i'm going to head to the Porsche dealership instead.

i belive the term permagrin was invented by this car! i remember seeing a porsche 911 when i was about the kids age and falling in love with that machine....fast forward amost 15 or so years later i am getting ready to buy my first Porsche... its not a 911, its a boxster but even so its perma grin :)

Yes, they are more expensive but....

if you love them as a kid, you will still love them when you're 20 years older. That's how timeless the design is. Chances are that in 20 years you could still be driving the one you see at this time, because they are also thrustworthy and reliable, yes, even after 20 years.

I have a 30 year old 911, sure it needs some maintenance and some look a lot better. But it's mine, whenever I drive it, I have a smile on my face.
